"The breakfast was good, but let down by being a little cold. The room and hotel were very nice and well kept, but the restaurant area was incredibly cold, the windows in the conservatory area leaked air around the edges and the air con wasn’t running any heating when we were in there eating so hurried through and returned to room. The beautiful but difficult to climb down to beach at Porthchapel has now (May 2018) been sadly been swept clean of all the sand in this image by the winter storms, leaving only rocks. From this photo I estimate that a depth of 3 metres of sand has been washed away.
