"Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5)
I recently stayed two nights at Hotel Los Lanceros in El Escorial, and while there are a few positives, this establishment falls far short of the 4-star standard it claims.
The Positives:
• The location is truly excellent. Just a short walk to the Monastery of San Lorenzo, restaurants, shops, and cafes. It is well-situated for anyone exploring the town.
• The hotel staff were respectful, helpful, and accommodating throughout my stay.
The Negatives:
• This is not a...

"Really enjoyed my weekend at this peaceful, semi-rural (but within 20 minutes walk of El Escorial train station and 40 minutes uphill to magnificent San Lorenzo de El Escorial) B&B. As in a typical B&B the rooms are simple but very well maintained and the grounds very relaxing, especially round the swimming pool area. The continental breakfast was more than ample and I found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful, even though it was full. A huge plus for me was to be able to see the...

"Los colchones son durisimos. Parece que éstas durmiendo en el suelo. En mi habitación no había televisión. Estaba muy limpio, las toallas olian muy bien. No funcionaba el ascensor "

"It was a nice surprise. The hotel was good enough for one night.clean and peaceful.
It would be nice to have more info on the nearby area and on the history of the place. Having to go through the restaurant with the suitcase is not a good idea and there is enough space to separate the two."

"Me ha decepcionado la calidad del la ducha con hidromasaje. El ruido de bañera jacuzzi de otras habitaciones se olle demasiado y en pocas ocasiones también a la gente hablando . No ha sido muy cómoda la cama , siendo la almohada pequeña y muy blanda "

"Hotel Riu Plaza Espana is an excellent 1956 built, but modernized recently Madrid hotel. I stayed 4 nights. Hotel has 27 floors, including an exciting 27th floor rooftop bar with the best 360 degree views in all of Madrid. I appreciate that hotel security is provided against people just coming and going by requiring use of room key cards to access elevators. The rooms are pretty sound proof because this was a well-built building. Breakfast was very good with eggs, potatoes, cheeses, meats, breads, yoghurts, pastries, fruit, coffee machines. This hotel is well situated in downtown part of Madrid right on Grand Via, with a subway stop located right at the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel. I loved it."
"Todo el personal nos atendio con mucha amabilidad, especialmente Lucia en el “check in”. El cuarto muy cómodo y limpio. El desayuno es excelente. Nos encantó la estadía en este hotel. "
"Really great hotel, reception area is really well decorated and welcoming. Staff explained everything superbly. I didn't eat breakfast at the hotel but looked like there were tons of choices. Only a short walk to the nearest metro and train station too"
