"We received a very warm welcome when we arrived on sunday afternoon. We had a fantastic stay and had great value for money including full breakfasts. The building looked brand new. Well done to all the staff , we will be returning in the future."

"Great value for money "

"Excellent hotel especially the leisure facilities. Hotel and room clean and well maintained. Parking is not free and the machine was not working so had to pay at reception. Reception was very helpful and informative. I got a drink voucher for forgoing a room cleaning on the second day of my stay. The food in the restaurant was excellent on the first night but on the second night there were a few minor deficiencies - it was not as well presented and a few minor components were missing (butter to go with the bread, onion marmalade on the burger). Even so, the food was well cooked and tasty but on the second night I would have given it a 4 out of 5, rather than a 5+ on the first night. The leisure facilities were excellent. I only used the pool (not the gym etc) the pool area had a steam room, sauna and spa bath in the wet area. As well as an portion of the pool where you can do straight line back and forth swimming you can swim in a loop around the spa bath set in the middle of the pool. There are also a large number of sunloungers available to relax after you swim. The changing rooms are away from the pool, mens opposite the squash court, but there are a set of open compartmentalized shelving in the pool area that can be used leaving towels etc. Also the hotel is near a bus route into the city (cathedral, docks, shops), there is a nearby ski slope, a country park with 1-2 hour walking routes and easy access to several places of interest on the outskirts of the city."

"These were incredibly comfortable beds that all four of us in my family each got amazing sleep in. The best nights sleep we all received during our two week trip in England. We felt like we were in a quiet country setting while still within a 20 minute drive of the heart of the Cotswolds and Sudeley Castle. The room was impeccably clean with gorgeous hand crafted wood furniture. Mona and Mark could not have been more inviting, welcoming us with a cup of tea after a long day, and taking our breakfast order for the following morning. Breakfast was fantastic, prepared with fresh ingredients and a passion for making us happy. Mark and chef Andy were great. Plenty to choose from, from a full classic English breakfast, to avocado and tomato toast, to yogurt with honey and fresh berries. We loved our two days at Stable Lodge. "
