Overall the stay was mediocre. The people are very nice, and try hard, but this resort falls short in many ways. First, the condition of the resort is the most glaring issue. Common areas are beautiful, but the rooms are absolutely falling apart. Crumbling plaster, broken tiles, leaking toilet, sewage smell--this is echoed by many reviews before mine. There are just too many people there based on what they can give. As such, though nice, staff are unable to always provide timely service. Things like towels, water bottles etc. are not always refreshed.
The Hunter steakhouse and Taj Indian restaurant were pretty good.
The resort is ok, but it does NOT live up to its 5* reputation. Big time investment is needed to renovate, and update the decaying, crumbling infrastructure.
