We loved it and enjoyed it. We loved the pool, we just wish they would have it open 24 hrs or at least till midnight. It was beautiful at night in the pool and I would have loved to enjoy that a bit more but had to leave at 8pm because they close it. The tile in the pool is cracked and broken in some areas but we still enjoyed it. We also enjoyed their complimentary breakfast buffet, every morning they have different dishes and the usuals too. I wish they would do something similar for dinner too, that would be great. It is a little far out from the malecón, the beaches, dinning, shopping and other hotels but you can grab a taxi or rent a car. You can walk to some areas or across they have a shopping center. I do not recommend going to Puerto Vallarta in July or August it’s super hot and humid, and if you are like me that gets hot flashes, then you will not enjoy it as much, but it was nice to know we had an air conditioning hotel to get back to. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel always clean. Overall a great experience and we definitely will be staying here in our next visit, just not in July or August, lol.

Here is the only thing I dis not like, we went to the Holiday Inn Express and our reservation was at the Holiday Inn Golf and Marina, Suites. It says Express in our confirmation. We were provided a shuttle, so no big deal. But when they dropped me at the Suites adter the mistake, rexeption also thought we should have been at the Express. So it is obviously confusing if the staff thinks so as well. Otherwise, our experience was excellent. Perhaps the reservation should not include the name of the wrong hotel.

I thought I had seen there was a shuttle from airport to the hotel. There was not, so we had to walk. No big deal it was only 10 minutes. But, the hotel we booked was HI express, upon checking innn we were informed we were being moved to HI Suites. Which was annoying, however it was a 5 minute shuttle so not a big deal. It was nice, it was clean. My only real complaint was we only got provided two waters per room. We had 4 people in each room. To get two more waters per room we paid $20 at the bar because there were no vending machines and the gift store was closed. It was also raining so walking to a store wasn’t happening. With that in mind we more than made up the $20 with the complimentary breakfast which was fantastic. Made to order omelettes, french toast, lots to choose from

Good hotel but some staff are lacking courtesy

The desk clerk tried to push me into going to Holiday Inn Suites instead. This is after I brought in 7 suitcases alone as there is no doorman. I just wanted in my room to rest, not move again. I put my foot down but it was definitely a big process to be able to stay in the hotel I actually booked for convenience of having a grocery store across the street. In the rush to get out of my room with all my baggage I failed to do a room check and discovered later I left something important in the room. My email about that item was ignored. It is not valuable but impossible to replace without a trip to Europe. Not sure what to do about it since there is no response.
