Priceless escape

The manager was super helpful and friendly! The view is fantastic … this is the place to disconnect and listen to the ocean waves all day. The restaurant next to the hotel was top notch.

Fabulous view, close to Boca de Tomatland for adventures around there, great room with a wall of windows, turtles, rays and other fish can be watched from the patio. I do wish it had some swimming option though. And the restaurant doesnt open til 9:30, but the OXXO just up the street opens at 6:30 and has good coffee

Location, location, location! We saw whales just 50 yards from our bay front patio. The rooms are very basic, but who spends time in their room with a patio like this? The restaurant and bar is attached to the hotel and open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The owners are delightful and helpful. We will go back.

Great little find.

This was our second time staying. It did not disappoint. The rooms are large, clean, well equipped and have great views over the ocean. The restaurant was closed but there are many good breakfast and dinner restaurants within a 5 minute taxi ride. The owners, Lily and her husband are friendly, communicative and will help with anything you need. Plus it’s a really good price.

The property is located right at the ocean. Lucy and Carlos are very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The rooms are huge, bright and clean and equipped with everything you need. It is a very quiet area and property, good to relax and rejuvenate. The view is gorgeous and you can see all the ocean wild life right from the balcony. Marco at the attached restaurant is fantastic and the food options he offers are delicious. The public bus stop is right in front of the property and an OXXO is 100 meters away. Boca de Tomatlan is five minutes bus ride away and you can get all the local groceries you desire. Water taxis are going all day to all the hidden beaches. Taking the public bus to Puerto Vallarta for 10 Pesos is easy, safe and fast. I will for sure visit again soon

We had a wonderful stay at Sierra Leon and highly recommend. We were given our choice of rooms and opted for a 3rd floor room with a patio overlooking the ocean on one side and patio overlooking the jungle across the road on the opposite side. The 3rd floor is accessible by spiral staircase so ask for a lower room if you’re less limber. We liked the quiet location and bird watching from the property (spectacular). Staff were super friendly and rooms were clean and serviced daily. Lucy at the front desk helped us navigate to our daily destinations and arranged transportation for us. They provided a large carafe of pure water for us to drink and the kitchenette was well stocked for cooking/dinning in room. We had a king bed and twin bed. Very comfortable stay. Note: the location is about halfway between Mismaloya and Boca de Tomatlan. Also, no heated water, but this was fine for us. The award-winning restaurant next door, convenience store 100 m walk up the road, and all major bus routes right outside the door, made this location a home run. We visited Mismaloya, Boca de Tomatlan, Yelapa, and did the Malecon/old PV and found this a convenient base location for the excursions. Great staff, wonderful stay!

The owners were very accommodating. Luci lent to me a backpack, bu repellent, sun screen, and even books to read. The bed was comfortable. The room was huge. A large water dispenser was provided with water. The view from the room and long balcony was fabulous. The friendly macaw made my stay very special and memorable in a good way. The cuisine from the adjacent restaurant, Mama Cuquita, was some of the best I have had anywhere in Mexico. I ate there 5 times! I have already shared photos and recommended Sierra Leon to friends. It was a lovely location that was a five minute drive or by bus (10 pesos) from two beaches, Boca and Mismaloya.

Incredible Stay. Peaceful, Clean & 30 Mins on Bus to the Pueblo. Bus stop and grocery store 2 mins away. Calm AC and Beds so Comfortable. The Cons are that the electricity and AC went out because of a huge storm so they should get a back up generator. Also fix the top level floor roofing cus it was condenasating in the corner. An easy patch will fix that. Thankyou to the staff, so helpful and pleasant.
