"Upon arrival in the afternoon at the Pulau Ketam Inn to check-in (booked 2 rooms and prepaid for 2 nights stay) was surprised to find there was no reception and nobody around though the entrance was open. The whole place was sort of abandoned, dusty, and with no maintenance. Had to ask a local person what happened and was told to check with another hotel nearby (Sea Lion Hotel) for advice. They advised that the Inn was no longer in full operation. Luckily, Sealion Lion hotel had available rooms....

"This hotel is very good. Rooms are clean and nice and staff are pleasant and helpful. It is located very close to Indian restaurants and shops. One downside is the lack of an intercom. It is not possible to contact reception from the room. Another downside is that the AC in the lobby/reception is quite weak. Another issue in reception is that the staff sit under some very powerful lights which generate so much heat that it's impossible to stand next to the desk to talk to them. I can't imagine...

"We visit family fairly regularly and usually stay at another hotel while in Klang. Decided to try the Doubletree just for a change and we were pleasantly surprised, amazing hotel here with great amenities, walking access to the I-city mall which was great for our short stay. Didn’t need to fight the traffic to get to mid valley this time… Hotel is about 4yrs old so everything works as it should. Will stay here again in the future."

It is not possible to contact reception from the room. Another downside is that the AC in the lobby/reception is quite weak. Another issue in reception is that the staff sit under some very powerful lights which generate so much heat that it's impossible to stand next to the desk to talk to them. I can't imagine how the staff can tolerate this heat. These lights should be replaced with LED lights that do not create heat and also, save electricity. In general, my 3-week stay was very positive and pleasant."
