We didn’t have a great experience. They have no elevator. Night one, had no air conditioning, room extremely uncomfortable. I let front desk know on Saturday AM. SAT 730PM anxious to enjoy swim up bar/hot tub. While I was changing they closed pool.I walked out to check if it closed & door closed. locked out of room. Went to get a card key to get back in. Front desk Axle GAVE us a set of KEYS. I inserted & turned & it broke with no pressure at all. Went immediately back to front desk to be told it wasn’t a room key but GOLF cart keys!!!! Then we were given new card key and we got in room. Shortly later Axle at room door confronts me & calls me stupid for not knowing that key didn’t go to my room & why is my card declining? Earlier in day I’d lost my card on island and had to cancel it. they were trying to automatically charge my credit card $300!! For the broken key! They forced us to remove 300 in cash were rude, intimidating & THEY were the ones who gave us a golf cart keys! Furthermore, we didn’t even have a cart. So it took 2 bouncers & 2 men running front desk. One named Axle with curly hair. Btw I’m 5’2” disabled lady. I was afraid all night. In am he was still working. Glaring at us. I asked to see mgr. none on duty. Finally met owner who said it’s end of season. They don’t normally act that way. No acknowledgment of how much they scared us, intimidated us and they refused to credit us. We left hotel and island a day early. This experience ruined our visit

This resort was beautiful. Owners were on site daily. Attentive and friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room. Plenty of pools and chairs for relaxing. Pool bar was a blast!

Super clean room and friendly staff. The room had adequate amenities and appeared more recently remodeled. My only issue is the lack of a coffee maker. And the free coffee in the lobby was watered down and disgusting but no big deal.

Labor day weekend.
Awesome time. Staff, rooms location to local entertainment was all top notch on all levels. Definitely recommen the islander on Put-in-Bay as a go to motel. Nicely golf carts that are a little faster than most ive rented.lol

Loud Music
The overall condition of this hotel is good! My problem was the insanely loud music around the pool which was right outside my door. It plays all day from like 10am until 9pm. You cannot even speak to anyone near you because the music is soooo loud.

Our stay was great. Pool was super fun. DJ was awesome and the atmosphere was great. Golf cart rentals right at the hotel. Will be coming back here!

Best thing about this place is location, front desk was very nice ,easy check in, they say under new management and doing updates which are a must , pool area was fine but wasn't that fun so we went to other pools , don't plan on having a lot of fun at room etc everyone gets a wrist band it's watched and can't have people hangout or stay in room , also charge 90$ a day for golf cart rentals, went to different place to get rental, they charge for parking after the 300 night room. Honestly for the cost and drawbacks I would definitely choose somewhere else, unless it's your last option, ( also I didn't mind this but music starts at 11am and goes till 9pm ish so no day naps and will shake room)

Thank you for providing us feedback and staying with us. We allow outside guests until 9pm. We do this for the safety of our guests and employees. You can always add an additional guest if space allows. We also charge for parking due to only having 20 spots. We are a 109 room hotel and cannot provide every guest with a parking spot. We recommend leaving your car on the mainland in one of the several free lots the Miller Ferry offers. Thank you again for staying with us.

The DJ’s, bars and pools really made the price worth it for our stay. This hotel was in a really great area where every place we wanted to go to was a short walk. One thing that our group didn’t enjoy were the beds. When I booked our stay and got the receipts at the end of our stay we were told queen size beds in each room, but they were only full size beds. Made it hard for a good nights sleep. Also wish there was some more room to hang our wet suits and towels. Would still recommend this place to stay

I paid $680 for two nights and i cant Decide who comes into my room. It’s our hotel room for those two nights and we can’t have two friends come? We are 30 years old and up and if we want to give our friends a place to sleep after drinking all day we should be able to do that. Charge us a fee sure but allow us to decide. You shouldn’t have a say in that unless we are causing a problem which we weren’t.

Per Fire Code, we cannot allow more guests in a room than what is allowed. This is a guideline that we must follow to ensure guest safety. If we do not enforce this, we could be fined or temporarily shut down. It may seem silly to you but it's a law that we have to follow. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Dirty Room
We were very disappointed in this hotel stay. Even though it looks like they are updating their rooms, the old rooms were very dirty. Food left in the refrigerator; lip balm left on the floor. Dirty carpet that looked like it was never vacuumed because of all the of bugs in the corners. We had three people and there was not enough room for all of us. The beds were right up against the walls. You had to turn sideways to get out of the beds. The vending machines were not labeled correctly. We picked 7up and got Dr Pepper. Lastly the hot tub was so extremely hot you couldn't sit in it.
