The most brilliant stay! Janet made the most delicious breakfast spread each morning, and the rooms were well kept and clean. Will definitely stay again - would absolutely recommend.
Janet was a great host. Our room was perfect with such a comfortable bed and quiet room with our view over the water. Breakfast was a treat with personalised coffee made each morning. Thankyou Janet.
This was the best place we stayed in New Zealand. It provides a fantastic view of the lake and mountains with clean and well decorated rooms inside. Janet was so nice. When she learned that I needed to bring some cold water in my car she lent me a coffee bottle filled with cold water. The breakfast she made was also delicious. Highly recommend this b&b!

The Room was Beyond Clean, I arrived late and the hostess Janet was very warm and inviting like coming home for the holidays. The room was aFull with the smells of fresh baked bread for the morning breakfast.
To my surprise I was given the Best Room Spectacular View of the L
This was my first true bed and breakfast stay and it was a wonderful experience! I was surprised to see that our wonderful hosts took care of all of our needs going above and beyond my expectations. Our host had run her own cafe before and it shows in the way she had breakfast and barista style coffee made for us in the morning. A very hardworking couple and a lovely bed and breakfast with amazing views and a hot tub to soak in after a long hike. Would stay again
10/10! Janet is the hostess with the mostest! She is so warm, friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. We felt at ease and well looked after. From the delicious breakfast - including barista made coffee to your liking, homemade savouries and bread - to tips on what’s happening in the area, what to do and see, and even offering us some rain jackets to borrow when she heard we were going to do the Milford Sound cruise and didn’t have anything warmer than jumpers. Our room was clean and spacious as was the bathroom. Would absolutely recommend staying here! The stunning view is an added bonus.
The Embassy is a great find! Janet is a wonderful host, baking fresh breads/pastries and making espresso drinks each morning and offering her local area knowledge. The views were incredible. We enjoyed meeting fellow travelers over breakfast…would definitely stay again!
We booked a 'standard room' and the expedia site said the room had a bathoom, turned out to be a shared bathroom which was very disappoining. Everything else about the property was nice. Great views, good food, a bit hard to park but the host was pleasant.
