This is an excellent hotel that is quiet and conveniently located. The staff are incredibly helpful and always ready to assist. The breakfast is delicious, making it a wonderful place to stay. I stayed for seven days and it almost felt like I was at home away from home. The shower has good water pressure and is very refreshing.
Always clean, the staff is super friendly. Most of the staff is good communicating in english. Its in a good area with lots to see and places to eat all around.
The hotel was very clean as well staffed. Everyone was really friendly. The rooms were neat and clean. Breakfast in the morning was traditional Ecuadorian; fruit, eggs, toast, cereal, 2 fresh juices, potato of some kind, coffee, pancakes, etc. A really nice location next to many restaurants and nightclubs.
Eugenia Hotel was a great place to stay in Quito. We had a late flight and they organised for someone to be waiting at the airport for us and stayed open late and were waiting when we arrived. Beds were comfy and there was plenty of hot water and good pressure. Wifi worked well in the rooms and there was a lift for luggage. Breakfast was included and had a nice variety. Close to Plaza Foch and restaurants and only a $3 taxi to the old town, which the front desk were happy to book. Would stay here again.
The hotel reception staff were excellent and very friendly. We received great advice regarding safety and security in the neighbourhood and walking around the Old Town, directions to the Metrobus system. The hotel has an authentic colonial charm about it, which we really liked and we found it to be very relaxing. Good selection of nearby restaurants on edge of La Mariscal district, though on an Easter holiday weekend we found many of them to be closed. The breakfast was excellent with a good variety and plenty of everything. They organised a 4 am breakfast and an early morning taxi to the airport for our ridiculously early flight departure to the Galapogos. The room was very comfortable though the single glazed windows were not enough to keep the noise of passing traffic and car alarms out. So, this did mildly interfere with our sleep. We would definitely stay again should be find ourselves in Quito again.
The hotel is in a good location as it’s 10 minutes into the plaza Foch. They serve a good breakfast and the staff, especially at the desk were very helpful and friendly. The hot water wasn’t consistent and they immediately attended to it.
I wasn’t completely happy with the room cleanliness. The ledges by the bed were stained. The sheets were clean, but the blanket felt it needed to be aired out.
Strangely the vicinity had a few cafes and restaurants, but tended to feel deserted very quickly in the eve. I was alone and therefore tried to get back to the hotel early in the night.
Eugenia hotel is a gem in Quito. It is beautifully decorated. The staff are phenomenal, in particular at the front desk. Diego was very helpful. In fact, they were all great (sorry, we didn't get the names of the other staff). Whenever we called for a taxi, they were so gracious to come out and speak to the taxi driver in Spanish, to know exactly where we were going. Very impressed with the customer-service at this hotel! The location was also great, nearby restaurants and stores.
We stayed here one night. The hotel was quite comfortable and had good facilities including WiFi, and secure parking included. The staff were very helpful. We enjoyed the included breakfast buffet.

Thank you for choosing Eugenia Hotel! We are glad you had a good time.
It was a fabulous stay. We loved the breakfast, the hotel ambiance, the staff was amazing and very friendly. Very quaint, nice boutique style stay. I would not recommend it if you're going for a business stay though, because there are no desks in the room. It is more for a vacation.

Thanks for your comments Shawna, it was a pleasure to have you here.
Front Staff was not as helpful as hoping- did not know where the post office was and did not offer to help look up. Didn’t know where to buy stamps- when asked if I could dry clothes somewhere outside, was told to go around the corner to look at laundromat. Later on found a price list for laundry service but did not offer to help with laundry, only told to go around the corner to do laundry. Was quoted a different price for rooms when other friend received a cheaper rate through a third party. Did not price match and later overhead the front desk offer another couple a room at half the price. Pros: kitchen staf and cleaning staff were 100% organized breakfast for us at 4am and cleaning was quick and well done.
Great location, they give you a great city map! The staff is very kind, helpful, wonderful breakfast service, help you make reservations, call taxis, so we are happy we stayed here.
I absolutely loved this hotel. Yeah, the bed could have been a bit more comfortable, but the whole hotel has a wonderful charm and wonderful staff. The interior has real old world charm with beautiful metal work and painted windows, all exquisite and with great taste. The super charming tiny bar unfortunately was not open. Breakfast was good and tasty, and the staff was truly exceptional. Helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely come back.
We arrived late at night and they were expecting us, with the room ready. Simple but adequate room. Very nice breakfast. We wanted a late check out and they were accommodating.
The room was clean but the beds a bit hard.
We were two adults in a room with twin beds.
Pros: Great Location!!!!, Friendly Staff, Secure, Walking Distance from Nightlife
Cons: I left my dirty laundry in a sack when I checked my bags for a week in the Galapagos. That's all I can think of.
I'd recommend it to friends. Small, cozy, and friendly.

Very good hotel
Excellent location: center point and yet far from the noise. There are some restaurants around the hotel so very convenient.
Rooms cover the basic needs (stayed in the first floor) and breakfast is just what you need (not overwhelming options).
I liked this hotel!

The two young ladies, Danela and Lizeth, could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Their English was great. Waiters at breakfast were also very cordial. Located close to super market and restaurants. Museum just a block away.

I've never written a review for a hotel and decided Eugenia Hotel deserved the time. The hotel itself is quaint, clean, secure, and very affordable. The location was ideal for touring the city. A couple of blocks from Plaza Foch which is home to great restaurants and coffee houses, and plenty of bars and clubs. A great central location for visiting City Center, Panecillo, and Teleférico. I cannot say enough about the staff. So nice and helpful. Breakfast is free and they serve the most delicious coffee!

The photos and website show a beautiful, cosey place to stay conveniently located in Quito. The photos and the reality don't quite match.
The breakfast included was very good. The staff are amazing and helpful.
The building is old and beautiful but noisy. We could hear the other guests and were awakened in the night by coughing, people talking loudly, coming and going.
The carpet in the room was disgusting and dirty. I would not remove my shoes. The blankets were old, dusty, ripped and totally disgusting. It affected my allergies.

Dear Bob , thank you so much for your review. Yes weather in Quito might be crazy sometimes. Always remember that we can provide you with extra covers and blankets. Have an amazing week and we hope we get the chance to have you here again
Upon arriving, I realized changes were needed for our flight to the Galapagos and I had a problem with my teeth. The front desk lady found me a dentist within walking distance and made phone calls to resolve our flight problem. The hotel is beautiful, secure, clean, and in the heart of new Quito. We returned for our last night in Ecuador and would definitely stay again if we return to Quito.
I stayed 7 nights at this location over a three week period of travel in Ecuador. The staff is great. Nice breakfast. The location is surrounded by restaurants and a quick walk to the entertainment district without hearing the noise of late night bars. Most tour companies will pick you up at this location or a nearby hotel.

Found Gem
This is a three star property. It is a little older and could use some refreshing. Having said that the staff is excellent and care about your travel experience. You could pay far more in a chain type of property, the TV would be a flat screen and the room would be a little bigger. You would pay about double for those few small things.
The other thing you will love about this place is the location, close to everything
Staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. I checked out early at 3am for a 6am flight and they prepared a little breakfast for me,that was nice! The only problem is that on my last night, there were new guests who were so loud and noisy that they didn't let me sleep at all.
I didn't like the hotel, showing on the internet is not the reality of what is the hotel. In pictures everything is very cute and the reality is another, the sector where is located not is very safe.
This staff was amazing, hotel was quaint and yet adequate, I was very impressed!

Breakfast is great.
This hotel is fine for the price. The room is small, and dated, but clean. The bathroom soaps were left over from the previous visitor. The breakfast was delicious, and Edgar was great! The hotel could use some updating, but it was our last night and we just needed to sleep.
