Ski bus operated by the hotel twice in the morning but the public ski bus is right in front of the hotel as well. "Oberstdorf is a beautiful hiking paradise with plenty of Hotels. Hence there is no need to stay in the sub-par Fuggerhof where you are put into a basement room while the unfriendly front desk staff tries to up-sell you into an above ground room - as if that were a special feature. "We had another wonderful stay at Hotel Bayerischer Hof â just as on our previous visits. The service was warm and attentive, the breakfast was EXZELLENT, and the atmosphere of the hotel is so charming and inviting. It really feels like a home away from home, and we always appreciate the care the staff puts into making guests feel welcome.
The only downside this time was that our room faced the church, and the bells were very loud, ringing every hour. Even every 15min.â Also late night and early in the morning. Unfortunately, this did disturb our sleep quite a bit.
That said, we still truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend the hotel. For light sleepers, it might be worth requesting a room that does not face the church.

"The property is a bit dated but the kindness of the staff and the INCREDIBLE views won me over. Even though the hotel is a bit older, I slept wonderfully and the food in the restaurant was fantastic! (We had pork with spatzle, chicken soup, Dubai Chocolate drink and an Aperol Spritz).
