Great if exploring Iceland in a car. Otherwise 40 min walk to the city centre of Reykjavik. Virtual check in and check out with a helpline if needed. Clean and spacious room. Shower doesn’t smell great but believe this is common in Iceland.
READ THE FINE PRINT BEFORE BOOKING! Its a self serve hotel with no staff on site, if you can believe that. In 40+ years of booking lodging I had never heard of such a thing. No information was posted at the entrance and no one answered repeated knocking. Never made it inside so I can't comment on that, but the outside was not clean. It reminded me of walking by a skid row like establishments. We had to find another hotel, fortunately we found a reliable establishment with actual staff present. It was clean and comfortable inside and out, was reasonably priced and include an excellent breakfast each morning. When I contacted the Arctic Comfort for a refund, I was told to read the fine print in the confirmation email. Sure enough there it was, my bad for assuming it was a real hotel. There are too many trustworthy establishments in Reykjavík to bother with this place. Stay away!
Clean and nice, but no change of towels.
No staff present. Digital communications only.
Not close to city centre, but lots of restaurants nearby. Overall a pleasent stay.

problem with entering the hotel and room! Very bad internet, you have to use your own!! I didn't see any of the staff, the room is not cleaned, the towels are not changed, you have to ask later! The TV does not work for local channels!! The room and bathroom are very clean and tidy!!
SCAM ALERT! Super dirty floor when we entered the room. Washroom stinks as soon as you turn the water on. Rooms come with fully renovated and modern amenities including a Nespresso Coffee Machine which is the last thing they should’ve been concerned about.
Booking was 2 nights unfortunately and we even wrote a message to clean the second day but still absolutely nothing was done about that. Infect, they wanted us to let them know what time we were going to check out the next morning so that they can have the room ready for next guest when the check out time clearly states 11:00 AM.
Also TV turned on by itself and someone from different room was controlling the TV. We talked to multiple people there who said they had the same issue as well.
In short, do not fall for the pictures and try to stay away from this place as much as you can.
We stayed for one night only. It was close to the main attractions. The biggest issue we had was not being able to get in due to our code not working. We called and it got resolved. There were stains on the couch but aside from that just okay
We had trouble getting into the building as our code did not work. That was quickly resolved after a phone call. The place was clean and comfortable. Beds were super comfortable. There was an oven, but no fridge, cooking utensils or sink to clean up dishes.
The shower and bathroom are only about 3 meters in total length, so be advised that everything during a shower will get wet. Otherwise, amenities were fine; however, the room was extremely hot. Regardless of opening the small window, it remained hot. The only compensation was to also keep the main door open, but that opened you up to hotel thieves, etc. I called the main reception, but they weren’t able to get us a fan or fix the issue.
Clean room + close to botanical gardens + half-marathon

This is not really a hotel as there is no visible staff. I had to carry my bags up two flights of stairs as there is no elevator. The location is in what appears to be a commercial area. The room is functional, but not a great value for the money.
they could add a light inside the room beside just have the light inside the bathroom and could also have a clock in the room plus additional outlet piece for people who's from the US who doesn't have those type of outlet piece wont go out their way to search for the outlet to plug their devices
There is no customer service and Telephone number not Available

The fact that there’s a virtual check in desk with no WhatsApp number is super frustrating. My code didn’t work multiple times throughout the stay and I had to go through Expedia who contacted them on my behalf. Having at least one person on site would be helpful. It made long day of travelling even more exhausting. I stayed with them twice, before and after a tour around the island, and it happened both times. Really super unenjoyable
