Organized and detailed instructions how to check in and out. The place is comfortable and offered the convenience of getting around the city. Accessible to public transportation and tourist spots too. If I decide to comeback, I will definitely stay here again. I will also recommend it to friends and family who have plans to visit Iceland.

Excellent central location close to shopping, grocery stores and main attractions. Beds were very comfortable and convenient to have a small kitchen as well. Few things could be improved upon---no fan that we could find, ventilation after showers was a problem, communication with hotel (virtual only) was not always responsive.

We were in Reykjavik for a tour and needed a place for one night’s stay. With the eclipse coming up, most hotels were booked. It worked out for us as the Swan House turned out to be a great alternative. I booked a suite as I wanted the opportunity to have a fridge and cook if needed. The suite was set up very well, and the bed comfortable (and we needed a good night’s sleep.) While the suite was quite expensive as compared to the same room in the states, it was Icelandic eclipse pricing. The Swan Hotel is in an excellent location for most of the main sightseeing, shopping, and dining places. Plus it’s close to the water. Last kudos to share about the Swan Hotel is that they have amazing communication as to sharing your access code for the hotel, your room, and the luggage room. Thank you for having a luggage room to secure bags for those hours between our early morning arrival into Reykjavik and our 3pm check-in.

Nice size place in decent location. Construction currently on the street so it’s not ideal for quiet mornings. Otherwise nice place to stay

The customer service is outstanding and Our room was well equipped and very comfortable! We were traveling with an infant so had some special circumstances and I don’t think I ever waited more than 5 minutes for an email response!

When we first got to the property, we weren’t too sure It’s very old, but it was clean. It appears to be in the old area of Iceland, where there’s a few hostiles. But at the end, we stayed in apartment, 102 which had a kitchenette, which was great because the price of food in Iceland is crazy expensive. It’s a self serve stay. Which we didn’t mind. It was walkable everywhere we needed to go. Love Iceland.

Love the location, swan house very clean. Would be nice to have a closet or drawer to put cloths in. Window in room 109 could not be locked. Also need better instructions on operating the hub. All in all lovely place and have only good things to say.

This was a great place to stay as a single traveller. I was a bit disappointed in the quality of the wifi because availability, full access to wifi was intermittent and unreliable when I was trying to do email and other wifi related online transactions. I was able to save a lot of money by buying my own food to prepare all breakfasts, most lunches and some dinners. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay very much. I highly recommend this hotel.

Just a few tweaks and this would be perfect.

Location was great. Listing said the room had a toaster, but this was not true. Instructions for using the hotplate were insufficient, we had to ask for help when instructions should have said that the pot needed to be placed on the hotplate for it to work. (Apparently this is obvious to some people!) Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The property was in a great location and the instructions for entering the property were very clear. The coffee was nice and the kitchenette had what we needed. There is plenty of parking and save yourself the hassle and download the Parka App. Parking is FREE after 1800 until 0900 even on the street this property is on (P2). We could have saved ourselves 20mins trying to figure that out and it would have been a much smoother check in process. The bed was comfortable and the shower is great.
