"This is a great place to stay when you arrive at or depart from Schiphol, Amsterdam. Great paths to ride bikes or walk on and you can get exercise before you take the plane or after departing the plane. Staff is terrific. Rooms are very quiet. We've stayed here several times and have had a great experience every time."

"Never a fan of automatic self check in. Simply a way to save on staffing costs but it is becoming ever more prevalent at “budget” hotels. Serve yourself food and drink too. "What let's this hotel down is the some of the staff which i found rude and entitled. There is no water in the room and the self service shop in reception charges €4.95 for a small bottle of water, overcharging seems to be the theme of this hotel, €36 euro for a average breakfast and over €300 for a room with no water. I wouldn't stay here again."

"I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. It was nowhere near the standard I have experienced at other Novotel properties. The bathroom was particularly unacceptable — there were visible faecal stains in the toilet. On the first day, when I took a shower, the drain was clogged with hair that had clearly not been cleared. The water drained extremely slowly and even overflowed onto the shower floor, which was quite disgusting. On the second day, the room was barely serviced. The bed was simply pulled flat, with nearly a quarter of the duvet inner left exposed and even touching the floor. The coffee cups were not cleaned, and there was no clear sign that other areas had been properly cleaned either. Overall, the hygiene standard fell far below expectations."
