"Clean beautiful hotel!! Love the theme of the hotel!! We have stayed at 3 of the sister hotels and I’m making it a point to stay and experience all of them!!! Shampoo and conditioners could use a better smell!! But are still good!!! Staff was great especially check in staff!!! Had a few drinks at the bar in the restaurant and they were good!!"

"This place was great for our one day in Albuquerque before flying out after visiting Santa Fe. The property is fun; the rooms are styled well and very clean. We enjoyed the complimentary beer from The Tap Room at one of the many outdoor tables. The outside spaces are a nice feature of this property. The room was clean and the bedding comfy. My only wish is that the pool was open. It was one of the key features that made me select The El Vado over other options and having the pool not open yet was a bit of a disappointment. "

"There were no coffee makers in the rooms. They didn't have ice buckets. The breakfast was terrible. We were told that they couldn't find their egg pans! And it was so noisy that each room had ear plugs. One person on the front desk was polite but the other two at the desk made you feel like you were bothering them."

"The staff were all very nice and helpful with anything we asked about or needed. The property has definitely seen better days, but the rooms were clean, and it seems from the equipment and haul away trash rentals in the parking area they are working on fixes and updates to the place. The shower/tub needs a remodel… the shower fixture is new and the water works fine but there were badly covered up old holes from previous shower handles, and the tub looks as if there are some permanent stains. Unfortunately the pool was not open during our stay, but that was okay wee were in town for a two day event and wound or have had the time to enjoy it. Even with the mentioned items for construction purposes in the parking area, there were plenty of open spaces to park. Overall, yes the place is a little outdated but it wasn’t a bad experience at all. "

"Checked in and needed to use Wi-Fi for a conference call. Wi-Fi was not working. I went to talk to the hotel employee who told me to connect to another SSID which was not available in my room. I went back to the office and she reset the internet router. Still not working. The issue was a misconfigured Wi-Fi extender in my room, #10. Had to leave the property to attend my conference call. When I initially spoke to the office staff about the issue they said they were aware of the issue, but never addressed it. The rooms are built on a wood substrate so you hear when your neighbor is walking around. The couple next to me were heavy footed and I could hear every step. It's an inexpensive place to stay but I would look for something else next time. "
