"Owners of the hotel, please read this review.
I visit Canmore at least once a month with my toddler, and this was our second trip in two weeks. This time, I chose a more budget-friendly option (around $185 for a Saturday night), so I kept my expectations low.
That said, the experience was disappointing. The room felt very outdated, and I found several dark hairs on the shower walls and even on top of the bathroom door. I understand housekeeping can miss things, but it still doesn’t feel good as a guest. The shampoo and conditioner dispensers were also very old and worn.
There was no microwave in the room, which was inconvenient with a child...I later found one in the shared laundry room. Not a dealbreaker, but not ideal either. The TV remotes were greasy and sticky; I had to clean them myself. The chairs looked extremely worn, one with a visible white stain, giving the impression they were past their usable life.
On the positive side, the beds were comfortable and appeared clean.
However, the biggest concern was finding a small bug in the bed in the morning. I initially feared it might be a bed bug. Later, I developed three large, itchy bites on one leg. I can’t say with certainty they came from that bug, but the situation was unsettling and unpleasant.
The staff were friendly and kind, which I appreciated. But overall, the property needs attention: better cleanliness, updated furniture, and proper pest control. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning."
