Excellent room and very nice host. Provided ride to airport for a very reasonable fee. Requires cash for room tax and ride, no credit cards. Little English but works hard to communicate.

Not a Fan

Our host was kind & outgoing. We missed supper and he found a snack for us. We would stay there again except for one thing: there were 3 large photos (poster-sized) each objectifying a woman’s body which I REALLY didn’t like. That altered my first impression. We slept well. The room was nice & quiet. The bed & temperature were nice. It was modern and there were no physical downsides.

I chose this property so that it would be easy to get to the airport for an early flight. I thought I could also spend my last evening at the beach. I really tried to get there from the airport by bus but the drivers kept telling me next bus, for two hours. No one at the airport was helpful, the person at the coffee shop who sold the tickets knew nothing about the busses. So finally I spent 25€ on a taxi. It was farther than I thought. It’s in a new area, the house is fine, it’s just a hassle to get to and from the airport, I did not have a good day. Maurizio who works there was very friendly and he offered to drive me back to the airport at 4:45, but took cash only so I had to go to a bank machine and pay a silly amount in fees for another €20 trip. Still I did appreciate knowing he was there for me and I got to the airport on time, so that’s important. I walked 15 minutes to the beach through parking lots and crossing big roads. Not a pleasant area. The beach was big with rocks piled to block the waves. Not awful, just not the beautiful beach view I’d imagined. The apartment was shared with men and I’m a woman travelling alone. Again, not awful but just a little awkward. Next time I would just stay at an airport hotel. If I saved the taxi money, it would cost the same and be more private and relaxing.

Our stay was short due to a very early morning flight. The premises is clean and modern. The customer service is excellent. The owner was the one who personally drove us to the airport at 3am and charged us much less than the shark taxi drivers at the airport m. Would happily stay there again if flying out of Rome.

Wi-Fi was weak. Had to be right next to router. The hair dryer did not work which was an issue for my wife. We ere there only one night and informed owner of this. Not sure if they took care of issue. Everyone was extremely helpful. He arranged a driver for us into Ancient Rome.
