We had a wonderful stay at the Villa Agrippina for a week before Easter. The hotel is beautiful, well located for accessing Rome’s key districts and has views of St Peter’s Basilica which is pretty special. A special mention for Emma and Eleanora in the concierge team who were super helpful and wonderful with our two boys. We had a brilliant stay and will be back again, thank you!

2nd stay at Gran Melia it’s a beautiful hotel, stunning swimming pool area, the staff are fantastic, hotel suites are very comfortable and well designed. There are a couple of things that I personally would like to see changed. Welcome drinks on arrival to the hotel. When it’s 38° outside and guests have travelled all day, the hotel should at least offer water on arrival. Breakfast - it’s disappointing for a luxury hotel that guests should be expected to pay extra for breakfast items like eggs to be made Overall I would 100% recommend Villa Grand Melia and would love to return for a 3rd time

Venue, staff, accomodation, food and drink all excellent. So polite, courteous, friendly and helpful at all time Special thanks to Luca the barman for his endless patience, cocktail skills and first class hospitality. Such a professional no matter what time of day we rolled up. Such a lovely young man, a real credit to the company.

Me and my wife stayed here for our 10 year anniversary. We visited Rome as part of our honeymoon albeit not this hotel. The hotel is excellent, with various attractions all within a 15min walk. The Castel San’Angelo is nearby with excellent views. The room was clean and spacious for the two of us. Breakfast buffet had a good selection including a few alternative options for my wife who is lactose intolerant. The pool was clean and well managed. It provided a nice break from the summer heat in August. We would definitely return with the kids next time.

Nice, but nothing special

The property is nice with excellent service in a great location. However, at this price I was thinking we were getting something special. It is not special, and I would not want others to book and pay these prices under the impression they were being treated to a super hotel. It is only good.

When you walk in you are welcomed from the very minute you arrive to the very second you leave. The staff are so, so, so lovely. They can’t do enough to help you. Every step you take there is someone there helping you from booking a taxis, booking tours, making you feel welcome and relaxed. Everything about the hotel was just what we needed after a day touring Rome. The hotel gave us down time and the pool was very much part of our daily routine to cool off and chill. Thank you
