"Sweet spot on the mighty Merrimac river. Great location. Walk over the bridge to Newburyport. Stayed off season. Room was clean, nicely furnished. No staff onsite, that I was aware of. Code was emailed, and let ourself in."

"It was clean. The grounds not fancy, but kept up, but the hotel itself is shabby. It needs some TLC. We were in a nonsmoking room, but you could tell it had once been a smoking room because of the smell. Cigarette burns in the sink and some of the furniture. Breakfast was coffee, juice, packaged pastries and coffee, tea and juice. Nothing substantial, but the breakfast room was clean and pretty."

"Front desk clerk tried to be helpful. 2 people came in and interrupted our check in. One was a person complaining. The room we were assigned smelled like smoke, was unlocked when we got there and the smoke alarm was dismantled. My daughter and I felt unsafe"
