"Mario was very welcoming and gave good directions to the B&B. It's in a lovely old building on the 5th floor . The area was very safe and some lovely restaurants close by along with other shops. All the main sites are walkable and lovely way to see the city. Mario was very helpful with some local knowledge and booked us a taxi for our homeward journey to the airport. "Basic room in an authentically Roman but unassuming setting with everything we needed. Our host Mario was fantastic, organising taxis and even giving (well, possibly lending) us an umbrella on a rainy day. Decent location for the price too: we felt safe and it wasn’t far to walk to and from the main attractions each day, plus local restaurants nearby. The money saved compared to a more conventional hotel meant that we could do tours rather than queuing at the attractions, with plenty of change."
