"Our stay was very short, but walking what seemed like a mile to our second floor room with no elevator was a bummer after midnight. Were there really no other rooms available? Bed was comfortable. Hair in bathroom floor."

"Beautiful place! With a family hospitality! Beautiful spacious room and decent water pressure in the claw footed tub! Front beds could use a spring clean out, but it was fun hanging out with the squirrels and feeding them as they are welcomed guests. Hendersonville was very pretty with extensive options for dinner. We chose icecream!"

"While the room was clean & the cleaning lady was very nice, I was charged an additional amount after checkout without any description whatsoever. The very lowest rating is because of a ridiculously inappropriate call and text. "Howard" yelled, spoke over me the entire call and then texted me, "You need help!" I had replied to the email regarding the additional charge twice and also left a voicemail asking why we were charged. Then after 3 days, I texted the number that it was my 4th & final request for an explanation of the additional charge and if I did not receive a reply, my only recourse would be to contest the charge and that my review would reflect the lack of communication. In his call Howard said it was a dog cleaning fee & challenged my response that Expedia clearly stated a fee was not applicable to service animals. I texted him a screenshot and he did ultimately refund me. Had he been polite and apologized for not responding to my emails & voicemail, I would not need to leave the very lowest rating possible. I have never been yelled at and this man should never have contact with customers. Needless to say, I would never stay at the Starlight Motel again. "
