This turned out to be very disappointing. I was looking forward to this resort out of all the places I was visiting in the Philippines. It turned out to be the worst. First, the room did not have A/C, no hot water and the bed was like a baby mattress! That’s just the beginning. They don’t take credit cards at the resort. The WiFi was terrible. I had to pay over $100 to get a room with A/C. The facilities were run down and out dated. The restaurant was nice but no A/C either. Felt like Castaway!! Hahaha. You are isolated so if you want to get away from everything, it’s for you. Be prepared for a sore back from the terrible mattress and horrible WiFi. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Great Vacation
I was at Whisper Palms for a 4 week quiet vacation with my wife. This resort is in an isolated Island in the Philippines which was perfect for us

Highly recommended
The management maintain cleanliness of the resort.The food service is fast but a bit of expensive.Staff are very friendly and accomodating as well as the locals.What i like the most are the activities that are available for the family to enjoy ,to avoid boring ..The resorts amenities are good..But the only thing i don't like is the airconditioner on the number 14 room ..it doesn't work...my children are complaining because they are not comfortable because of the not working aircon. I hope you will fix this..But i'm highly recommended to my friends and relatives,,One of the best resort we've been stayed ..

It was a really good stay, but the check in time was different, Expedia listed check in at 11am but the actual check in time was 12pm, but the overall stay was very good 🙂

A great place for families!
Great resort on a great island. The staff was very helpful. It is a really great place for families. The location, Sipaway Island, is an amazing place as well.

To be avoided...
If you are used to pay w credit cards, forget this place. They don't accept them.. I had to make a boat trip n back to San Carlos to pick up some cash.. No ATM, no line on island..This is Philippines... Even one hour flight in the middle of Indian ocean, you can use cards ! And the paradox is that one does not use cash in resort.. no signature.. so when there is litigation it is a mess.. Staff is ok, except one person as pleasant as jail door when things don't go her way. Out of stock is common, mixed fruits the first day... and eggs the second day at breakfast...! Don't book the bungalow to expect more luxury : bungalow is only a 2 rooms space w living room. But it is standard comfort. Resort in the middle of nowhere. But bicycles are providedfor free. No nice beach and view is terrible at low tide. Snorkeling without interest in front of resort, no visibility and nothing to see. Disappointing...

Whispering Pines Sipaway Island, San Carlos
nice place, the only problem was that the public boat from San Carlos to Sipaway Island does not operate after 1600 h and the guys at the port asked for 700 peso for this 10 minute ride, which normally costs only 15 peso. When you arrive at the island you have to take a tricycle for 100 peso, that's OK. The resort is beautiful, nice staff, great bar, excellent food and not expensive. My room was with fan, which was OK it was not too hot. The WiFi was weak, sometimes I had no signal on the Globe mobile network, Can also rent bikes to explore the island. I will certainly come back.

I was so excited to stay at this resort Until I arrived. The management did not inform us about the pick up on arrival or how to get there. They did however offer this service to the other guests. I guess because I'm not German. I wanted to go snorkeling but I was told there is only one key to the dive shop and they were out. None ever came by to even ask if i still wanted to go. All of the properties activities are pay to play. (ridicules)! The price of the room is just that. Nothing is included. The meals were good but overpriced. In the end I spent more on food than the rest of the stay. One good note, the staff (not management) were extremely friendly and courteous! The local people are so genuine and nice, its a shame this resort had to be such a disappointment. They need to do maintenance on the entire facility. I was walking down the sidewalk and felt it crack under my feet. I has the potential to be such a nice place but it seems like a total lack of care the owner/management has toward the place. I would recommend a trip to sipaway island but stay at a different resort.

Disappointing Place to go for beaching.
The picture adverised or showed in the booking Portal is very decieving,there is no place to swim except to the Pool .. Its actually a Mangroves area full of sea Urchins and dead corals.

A great place to stay, very affordable.
We stayed for 5 days and had an amazing experience. From the minute we arrived we realized we were in a special place. The staff and owners made our stay perfect, always ensuring everything was well with us. This resort is the perfect place for a quiet and relaxing vacation. There are so many different things to experience or if like myself, you can simply relax put your feet up and listen to the breeze gently rustling the palm trees, of which there are many. The restaurant menu is very big and varied, i am sure there will be something for all tastes and at a price that is good. When we were leaving, the Resort's boat was made available to take us to a taxi to take us to Bacolod to catch our flight to Manila..The resort Owner arranged the taxi for us and the cost was very fair, we paid the driver directly. This was my 5th visit to The Philippines and i know when i am being ripped off, i can assure you the taxi fare was very reasonable, hence the tip given to the driver. If i return to this area again i would have no hesitation staying here again, only next time for much longer !

Only bath towels provided. Be sure to bring your own wash cloth. Tapas restraint was consistently cold poor quality food and we even found hair. Glad there 7-11 next door for hotdogs breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful with questions and laundry service was fresh,clean and afordable. Hot water in bath was lukewarm but bearable. Location was close enough for our needs but loud because of busy main road rite out front.

Dear Kenneth are you sure you review about Whispering Palms Resort in these Rewiew .... Whispering Palms assure quite Sourroundings since there is no Main Road within 1 Km disatance . Your mentiont 7-11 is 4 Km away on another island.

Das Resort ist sehr schön und das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sehr interessant sind auch immer die Gespräche mit dem deutschen Eigentümer gewesen. Wer einen weißen Sandstrand erwartet, ist hier leider fehl am Platze, auch wenn der Ausblick aufs Meer hier immer sehr schön war. Die Verpflegung ist gut, allerdings etwas teurer als es auf den Philippinen üblich ist. Die Küche stellt um 20:00 Uhr den Betrieb ein und die Bar ist bis 21:00 Uhr geöffnet. Überrascht waren wir von dem recht teuren Wäscheservice mit 30 Peso pro Kleidungsstück. Während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts war das Internet nicht betriebsbereit. Und wurde immer gesagt, ein Techniker würde am nächsten Tag kommen. Das Resort-Management hatte jedoch komischerweise immer Anbindung ans Netz... Eine internetfähige SIM-Karte wurde uns auch nur gegen Bezahlung bereitgestellt. Das geht auch besser! Unbedingt erwähnenswert ist auch, dass das Resort keinerlei elektronische Zahlung akzeptiert, was mit der schlechten Internetverbindung begründet wurde. Man sollte also entweder ausreichend Bargeld (Peso, Euro oder US-Dollar) dabei haben oder einen Ausflug nach San Carlos einplanen, um Bargeld abzuheben oder zu wechseln.

Ein Aufenthalt im Gefängnis ist wahrscheinlich schöner! WIFI geht nicht, selbst für einen Pappbecher muss man bezahlen, Chips darf man auf der Terrasse und im Bungalow nicht essen Man wird erpresst, abgezockt, alles muss man bezahlen. Sogar ein Donwgrade des Zimmers wurde versucht uns unterzuschieben. Eine Flasche Wasser darf man nicht mitbringen!!!

My worst experience ever and a travel a lot for work and pleasure room not ready staff not interested shower no warm water we will repair tomorrow 😡😡no internet we have nobody to repair the place is outdated and the germans are loud and drink to much as everywhere in the world i left after 1 day i paid for 3 but no refund because i need internet for work when we left the internet was working so DONT GO THERE

The food are over prices without any taste at all. You cannot take food or drinks inside the hotel area. The pillow are so uncomfortably ugly ang the bed sheet are too old that the color has faded. The pool content salt water. Clay, seagrass and sharp stones on the beach you cant even go bearfoot. We stayed in the family room together w/ my husband and kids for 2 nights and i noticed that there is something smelly. Then i found that behind the fence is a cemetery. The staff are so lousy..

nous étions 6 hôtes pendant notre séjour...très joli hôtel...pas de baignade en mer possible mais deux belles et grandes piscines. nourriture excellente et large choix de plats . Sipaway est minuscule et se visite aisément en vélo(prêt gracieux de l'hôtel).Les habitants sont très gentils...courtois et souriants.nous n'avons pas croisé d'autres touristes...nous devions être les seuls... c'est l'occasion d'un séjour en dehors des lieux touristiques( somme toute en nombre limités dans ce pays). nous avons vraiment apprécié ce séjour. les chambres" standard" n'ont pas l'eau chaude...nous n'avions pas prêté attention à ce détail lors de la réservation mais nous avons été surclassés sans frais supplémentaires...geste commercial très sympa.
