This is our 3rd time at the Moxy(we are locals)Comfy beds, cozy room. Centrally located. The bar has excellent food and drinks and you get a free drink on check-in. Also has a cutie speakeasy. Hidden gem in downtown SD.

What a cool place to stay! The whole place was a vibe. I loved the bar check in desk and welcome cocktail. The rooms were very chic, the staff was wonderful, and they even had a speakeasy on site! The rooms were small, but functional. The food at the bar was good as well. We'll definitely try other Moxy locations after this.

Moxy Hotels generally skew "fun", with young, friendly staff and a good vibe. This one offers both in spades -- great location, design that is a cut above, and super friendly front desk team. The room, though on the small side, is handsome and comfortably appointed. Best of all, the in-house speakeasy, Room 56, is a really a neat experience -- a bit of cloak-and-dagger to get in, and a passionate, talented bartender who listened to our preferences and customized our drinks on the fly. Cozy room, too.

The staff was nice and the property was beautiful! The breakfast wasn’t free but was delicious! There are plenty of games, and although I didn’t go, there’s a speakeasy in the hotel library. It’s close to a lot of bars and food options, so there’s no need for transportation. I’ll definitely stay here again!
