Solo women traveler: after stressing out about a previous reservation I Had at another place and finding this location! It was an excellent experience and so clean and cute! The location is just walking distance to everything or a quick uber drive somewhere else.

The place was beautiful, and the staff was amazing. Only minor complaints we had were- there was no mini fridge in our room (not a deal breaker but was kind of annoying). The long curtains covered the AC so it made it pointless to use and it got really hot in there overnight. Also our room was on the street side and it was so loud all through the night from people walking by/being out there so I didn’t sleep at all.

Very nice hotel! Rooms are kinda small as my bathroom sink was in the room and not in the bathroom. The Secret Garden is a very nice touch. Would recommend someone checks the coffee station more often. Garbage overflowing one day and this morning no hot water. Great location!

Decent location with appreciable walkability towards coffee shops and restaurants. Very accommodative and welcoming staff. Property was very well-maintained, very clean, and had exceptional vintage architecture and layout given 19th century establishment. Hallways were warm and cozy. VIP perks including complimentary sparkling wine and in-house restaurant meal credits were enjoyed as well.

A wonderful experience! The staff was so charming and welcoming, I was completely won over before I even got to my room. The hotel itself is lovely and historic, nestled in the vibrant Gaslamp District. I love that the windows open! It seems like a small thing, but with the ocean just blocks away, the fresh breeze off the Pacific is well worth enjoying. I highly recommend and hope to visit again soon.

Everything was really nice. Nice cozy room with a machine to help keep the room cool at night time during the heat. I loved the decor with the green and gold trimming and the background of the bar. I like the bathroom with just the basics of sink/toilet/shower. My only comment I would leave is that the toilet paper handle needs to be adjusted because it’s too loose. Just in case because it seems like the toilet paper might fall in the garbage.

The Beau was a beautiful hotel! The staff was friendly, the bartenders made amazing drinks, and the rooms were very clean. The coffee and tea stations on each floor were also a nice touch.

The room was clean and well kept. The garage for the hotel is not attached and is behind the building operated by a different company. The TV was unable to connect to wifi. Walls are a bit thin so you can hear guests in the hallway. Overall a good experience.

Quaint and comfortable accommodations. We enjoyed the restaurant after checking into our room. Wonderful bartenders and service staff. Delicious fresh pasta dish on the menu. Finished the evening with a cocktail and bread pudding… must have! After our checkout he had a couple hours to spare and enjoy the outdoor patio.

Hotel itself is very nice, clean and adorable with decor and style. Rooms are smaller which doesn't bother me. Walking distance to gaslamp and a 12 min walk to Petco Park. The bar/restaurant is inside right by the check in lobby and had delicious food and amazing cocktails. The only thing I can say about this stay is the front desk help needs to learn communication skills and customer service. They made check in a little difficult and weren't pleasant to deal with but besides them I like the The Beau overall.
