"Excellent place to stay with children. The pool was perfect and the small and clean cozy feeling really ties in with the amazing hospitality of the staff as well. "

"Love this cute little motel. I’ve stayed here 6 or 7 different times while my son was a student at SDSU. The Lamplighter Inn is consistently immaculate- honestly, the grounds and buildings are so well-maintained. The breakfast is basic but good, the laundry facilities, water dispenser,& vending machines are available 24/7 in a secure room next to the lovely, shaded pool area. Parking is plentiful and free. There are several good restaurants within easy walking distance "
"Last minute booking but a great one. Was not aware of having to pay for parking but it was only $5 a night which luckily was not an issue. It is quiet even for being right next to the freeway. The room was comfortable and had everything I was looking for. Good hidden gem near SDSU."
"This is such a swanky and chic property. From the time you enter the lobby you are taken back with the old world decor. It has such an eclectic vibe and nostalgic feel. The decor is stunning and there is so much history here. It’s a must stay and play hotel. The rooms take you back in time but are very well kept and comfortable. The pool has an adult day party vibe with great music and attentive servers. There are plenty of bars, a 24 hr diner plus a separate yet onsite bowling alley with pool tables, basketball games and another bar. The lobby bar is a must with bar tenders that can make you any kind of drink you want! It’s a great place to sit, drink and people watch. We had a great time and will be back soon! "
"Front desk agent was very friendly and welcoming. Room was very clean. Being right off the freeway, I was not expecting much, I was pleasantly surprised."
"So inside the gates the resort felt safe it was clean and child friendly. Staff were great and josh was amazing giving us an upgrade and an extra night. Jeff was amazing as well.
