Not being able to call the property directly to verify shuttle service was extremely frustrating. I called the day before arrival to verify the shuttle and waited 30 minutes for sometime to tell me I just walk outside. I then walked outside and realized I needed to go to a different terminal for the shuttle. I waited outside for 30 minutes and called the hotel and waited another 30 minutes. I was told by the other Holiday Inn driver to "be more attentive". When I finally got someone at the hotel they told me it was every 45 minutes (no one told me this before). Finally, I got the shuttle and arrived to the hotel more than 1 hr after arriving. If I'd know this I would have taken a lyft/uber. Then when I picked up my company car there was an additional $25 per day. The assistant manager was great. But it is clear that staffing isn't sufficient in the evening to cover check-in's and phone and that the shuttle service is not client service oriented and a promoted benefit that in fact is no benefit at all. I would recommend you either do away with the shuttle or get a driver on staff to support the night shift.
I'll be staying at the Dylan in the future where they don't charge for my car and underpromise and over deliver.
