The staff was great very helpful and the property was clean, as we understand they are doing some remodeling to the rooms and hope the pool gets an update and keep clean, that was our only setback otherwise we recommend this property

The property was okay. It was maintained quite well. Our room was next to a court and a garden. We were awakened by a machine hauling something. It was already too noisy at 6 a.m., so we couldn't fall back asleep. The pool was also way too cold. They made no effort to accommodate an early check-in or late check-out, even if it were just an additional hour, which wouldn't be a problem with other hotels.

Location is great, close to a lot of restaurants and shops. The hotel needs some renovation in some areas and improve recreation for all ages. Food was good, staff is very friendly, and they do everything to accommodate requests.

I got an executive suite room for myself and my 5 year old son. I got a standard double bed room for my mom and younger brother (19). We were there for a week and found the location to be perfect. For the past decade, I had been staying at hotels steps away from the Jardin (town square) but found this location to be ideal in proximity to many restaurants, my family members homes, and easy to get taxis/on the bus. My son loved the pool and playground on the premise. It was raining throughout our week there (as it usually does in June) but found some sunny time to enjoy the pool. We loved that our room had more space than we usually get closer to the town square - we could bring back food and eat at our table if we wanted along with a mini fridge to keep some drinks stocked. Staff was very helpful in informing us about the amenities and anything we needed. I only used the gym once to squeeze a run in on the treadmill which was fine. Overall, we loved the hotel and our stay in SMA :)

For the price the hotel was reasonable and I would probably return however rooms that could have been nice were average at best because they hand no amenities, not even a coffee maker. Also, the pool (which was a primary motivator for staying here) was very dirty. And, we were a little early but no accommodation could be made to get us into our room early. The bar service at the pool was also very slow. The bell men, however, were helpful and nice. I think part of the problem was that we came after a weeklong holiday. The location and registration area were nice and had some small shops.

When I arrived to the hotel, it was extremely hot inside the hotel lobby, retail, and restaurant areas. My check in was pretty fast. When I arrived to the room it did not look like the pictures displayed when I made the reservation. There was a pile of dirty cups and dishes at the foot of the door to enter the room in the hallway. The room looked worn and the carpet smelled old. Not to mention the room was also extremely hot. The ac would not cool after it had been on for several hours. The lighting was very poor in the room as well and you could barely see yourself in the bathroom. I was there for a wedding and needed to do my own hair and makeup so this detail of lighting was important to me. I wouldn't say the place was dirty, just old and not in a cute vintage kind of way. It was so hot in the restaurant I left to eat elsewhere. The hotel seems on the outskirts of everything but not in the beautiful charming streets closer to the cathedral. I left to stay elsewhere several hours after checking in. Didn't even sleep in it one night, I was supposed to stay 4. Because I booked through Expedia, I lost my entire stay that I paid for. For these reasons I do not recommend this hotel for your San Miguel stay. There are way cuter places for for the same price or less. My fiends stayed at the Posada down the street for $500 for their entire stay. I paid $700 for mine.
