Hotel Arrizul Catedral

8/10 Good

"The hotel was lovely, in an ideal location close to the Old Town (about a 10 min walk) and the main La Concha beach. Rooms were lovely and clean, with great air-conditioning, which was ideal for the heatwave! You can even borrow towels for the beach, you just need to leave a deposit at the front desk, which is fab if you're packing light! The only negative we have to say is the bed was really uncomfortable and definitely needs an upgrade - bedsprings we're digging into us whilst we slept!! Otherwise, the rest of the stay was perfect - shower was lovely and spacious with great water pressure and the staff on the front desk were sooo kind and helpful throughout. They couldn't do enough for you which was so nice!"

"The Passage is in a central location, nearly brand new inside, very clean, beds were comfortable, modern and clean bathrooms. The pricing was a bit high given how much hotels were charging in San Sebastián but I am not complaining, All members of my family really enjoyed staying here. I would highly recommend The Passage Apartments."

"They say when you come to Euskadi you don't make friends, you make family. Well... at Maria Chirtina they make you feel at home. The attention to details, the service and the beautiful architecture and decor make it one of the finest hotels I've been in my life. Will come back for sure!"

Axel Hotel San Sebastián - Adults Only

"This is an Axel hotel so I expected certain amenities and support. The room was great and spacious, as well as finely equipped. The pool area was good but lacked services like food and drinks. There was no rooftop scene to get into at night. Recommendations about bars and nightlife were severely lacking. There were a couple small touches at the pool area, like a small glass of champagne was served once while I was there. Could be an amazing property with a few enhancements being made. Location cannot be beat. The staff was very friendly and helpful!!! The property and area very safe day and night. There were a few restaurants right around the corner with a very local vibe."

"Iconic hotel on La Concha beach. Can't beat the location! Staff is amazing. Breakfast buffet so yummy, although not inexpensive. The restaurant and bar staff on point. Front desk team helpful. Concierge, while a lovely person, gave a few recommendations that were "duds." The hotel is "older" and we had some issues with our air conditioning maintenance responded changed filters, but it never got to a temperature that was cool enough for us; but it was also a heatwave, so I assume the system was stressed out. We had an ocean view which was amazing although the room itself was smaller than expected. Large bathroom! Overall, great stay!"
