"We loved Il Casale. The room was gorgeous , a glowing cave room that felt lux, and the service was top notch. We were treated to a helpful survey of the town to help us the get the most from our time there; restaurant tips (no tourist traps); and a delicious breakfast from a nearby bakery. Even more helpful, we were able to park our car at a secure residential lot outside the city and get a private ride to/from the old town. Highly recommend."

"What a gem in Matera! Easy to get to, not to many stairs. (It's Matera, so of course there are some) It took 7-8 minutrs from the parking garage. Short way to Piazza de Sedile with cafes and restaurants nearby. We had the spa room. It was lovely to jump into the small pool after a warm day. The room was spotless and clean. When you stepped outside and walked around the corner, you had a lovely view of Matera. We loved it. And if you are worried about the noise from the pool; you can turn it off...
