"Lovely hotel/old inn. Excellent shower. Breakfast (over the road) great. Easy parking - although it might be a squeeze if there was a function being held. Look forward to staying again."

"Though the review isnt as good as it could be , let me explain. From 11pm until around 5am there was extreme bangining and drilling to a point it was that loud it was like they wasdirectly above my room on the roof, it was unbelievable. When we went for belreakfast ( which was very nice i might add ) i was ready to go mad and have a shout out over it but instead the young girl that was working handled the situation like a pro, calmed the situation , listened to the videos i had taken and advised it was not acceptable and got on the phone to the owners and she came back and said we could have another night free of charge didnt matter when andcould not apologise more. All the staff were amazing and what made it even nicer , while waiting for breakfast we are sat and allcwe could hear was the chef singing while cooking , ( sunday morning early and was singing away , AMAZING , he must be very happy in his work , let me sumerise, Out of 10 i give the place a 9 , the staff i give 10 and esp the young lady i wish i got her name but she deservs a 12 out of 10 highly reccomend the place"

"The hotel is located in great location and within easy reach of Cardiff and good views. The staff really polite, friendly and helpful. The room and bedding linen was very clean. The bathroom did need bit of TLC. Although I did not get a chance to get breakfast, there were options for eating in and taking it away. I would recommend and would book hotel again."

"Where do I start. 1. On arrival - there are two signs for 'Reception' but actual 'Reception' on arrival was based in Restaurant facility. When I arrived the Receptionist could not find the key to my room, she searched and searched - she tried to contact her 'boss' but could get no response. I was offered a drink but declined as I had a function to attend. She suggested I leave my luggage and she would put this in my room whilst I was away. She tells me that the Reception is open until 11 p.m. I was told that this problem would be reported to the Boss. On my return later my luggage had remained in the restaurant/bar area. They discovered that the key was still in the Room I was about to occupy. The room did not smell very nice. However I started to unpack thinking it may be a temporary thing! but on further exploration I found that the smell emanated from the bathroom - very stinky - drain problem I am guessing. I reported this and Reception brought some drain cleaner but I knew this wouldn't help so asked to be moved. Again this was to be reported. 3. I moved to another room and was helped with this by the Receptionist - which had a more intricate way of entry and steps leaving to rooms, also above the door I noticed that it displayed an exit in the case of fire - on exploration in the room - the only other door possible for an escape was firmly locked!"

"Everything was great apart from being told we were having a free upgrade from family room which really wasn’t had a couple above us making noise walking around all night and early hours in the morning reported this in the morning reception not really that bothered"

"I looked at the reviews before booking the Sri Lankan guy work in here is a really nice person and his food is also very good. Had three evening meals. Enjoyed everyone. The only thing to complain about was the lack of heating. Just put a small fan or a little oil radiator in the rooms. The Wi-Fi is good free Parking large comfortable room just a little bit chilly. I’m sure if they sorted this out I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again."

"The actual bar and restaurant was really nice but the rooms definitely need an update. The furniture was old and not in a vintage/good way. The cleanliness was OK but nit thorough (see pictures). Small details could also be improved e.g. have a toilet roll holder on the wall rather than having to put the toilet roll on top of the toilet. Fix the shelf in the bathroom as it is not level so can't be used. We were in room 15 and there are 2 large velux qindows. Unfortunately these had no curtains so as soon as the sun came up, we woke up. There was no hairdryer and alao, when we arrived we weren't shown how to operate any of the lights or heating. It was cold and it took a while to work out there was a main electrical switch to the room that wasn't on. We booked the superior double room so I was disappointed as I was expecting more. Saying all of that, I would definitely use the bar and restaurant but wouldn't stay there."

"Staff at the hotel were warm and friendly. They couldn’t have done more to make us and our 2 dogs feel welcome. Breakfast was great. Food very fresh and plenty of choices. The hotel location is perfect and within easy reach of everything that Lynmouth and Lynton has to offer. We will definitely be returning. "
