The Steamer Inn

"The room was lovely & clean, nice carpet and curtains, the balcony was very nice to have a cuppa in the morning sunshine . The bathroom had a lovely large powerful shower with lots of hot water. The bathroom was in need of some updating, looked more like a NHS bathroom (clinical) but functional.. You can decide every day if you want your room serviced, so that’s a nice touch and nothing was too much trouble either. Breakfast is served between 8.30 - 9.30. Offering a cooked breakfast in small or large. Sausage or bacon sandwich on brown or white bread. Tea cakes, croissants or toast with jam, marmalade or Marmite. Large glass of orange or apple juice and plenty of tea and filter coffee. You can only choose one item from the menu. The meals in pub are very filling with lots of choices. They will always make sure you have a table if you are staying with them and would like to eat there. They do not have a lift so rooms are accessed by stairs only. We had a three night break away and enjoyed our stay."

"Great location right near the loft down to the beach (£1 return). The views are amazing and rooms modern and feel recently refurbished. We stayed in room 103 with balcony and side sea view. The shower was hot and plentiful with tea making facilities and iron with board. We had a great stay Thank for helping with cases"

"The shower wasn’t working no pressure because it is a very old building they said so they couldn’t help or give us another room. Very dusty lots of cobwebs. However staff was so lovely beds were so comfortable and excellent location :))"

"I stayed two nights and can’t complain about anything. I knew it was a low budget hotel and couldn’t expect luxuries. However, it was clean, nice bedding, my room was very quiet. Decent shower. I didn’t need anything more than this. A very special shout out to all members of staff who serve breakfast. They are very friendly, and work tirelessly. I’ve never been served so quickly anywhere else! Sadly I don’t know the names, but there is a fantastic lady who worked this weekend and a young man as well. Thank you!! One more thing, the coffee is really nice as well as the full English breakfast."

"Overlooking the sea. Our room was clean and tidy. Fresh. The bar was great. The whole place was amazing value. The most amazing thing was the staff. Harry and his mate on reception, the lady at the bar , the chap doing breakfast and the lovely young woman at reception. Couldn’t have been more helpful. They let me put my bike in storage. All great"
