The Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center

"The Penn Stater is always a great place to stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the service was very responsive. We requested a cot, and it was delivered to our room right away, which we really appreciated. My only disappointment was at checkout. We asked for just a 30-minute extension, but were told they were expecting a large conference group and could not accommodate the request. I completely understand that they needed to prepare for incoming guests, but considering we were only asking for an additional 30 minutes, I was disappointed that there wasn’t a little more flexibility."

"The property and staff were amazing. The influence from being above a club with music is less than ideal. The thumping of the bass kept me up for a bit, be aware of this especially if you plan on visiting on a weekend."

"My room was very nice, attractively decorated and clean. Staff were helpful- front desk gave me a perfect room positioned for someone travelling with a dog. It was actually quiet considering where it was. A staff member on break helped me get in a side entrance when the scanner wasn’t reading my room key. There could be improvements made to the complimentary breakfast , possibly a protein choice? Breakfast seemed very limited."

"There was a mistake with booking, and apparently their system said I booked two double beds instead of a king, but the front desk did a great job correcting this. The room was pretty nice, but the toilet could have been cleaner and desperately needed a new seat. One foot on the lid was completely missing and the others badly worn, so it sits crooked. Needs new anchors, too. Getting in the room was like breaking and entering because the door latch needs to be adjusted. Very difficult to open in time when it unlocks and also difficult to shut. Dangerous if you leave your room because it doesn't latch on its own. Otherwise, the stay was comfortable (nice hot shower) and breakfast was great. Loved the crispy bacon!"
