Munden House
Amazing accommodation ideal for a couple , very comfortable, lovely quiet location but not far to drive to Sherborne. All kitchen essentials provided . Lovely comfy bed. Bathroom/shower perfect. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Just wonderful, really relaxing and comfortable. Annie and John made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We particularly liked meeting the wonderful animals that share their life with them.

Lovely setting, comfy bed, good shower. Kitchen cupboards need tlc - touch them and they collapse but rest of place in good order.

Stayed in the summer house - it was beautiful, loved the chickens! Breakfast was fab, countryside beautiful. Accommodation perfect, light and airy. Our only suggestion is: my husband has mobility issues and needs a walk in shower.... The bathroom and shower is in keeping with the rest of the accommodation - the shower although is walk in but there are a couple of steps up and it felt quite precarious for him to get in and out - so he was not able to use. You could make this perhaps more clear. But otherwise a clear 10 out of 10.

Excellent accommodation in a beautiful setting
This place is just excellent. We had a great time here with our 2 year old daughter. Highly recommended and will forsure be staying here again.

Lovely cottage with nice touches
Very good relaxing break in a clean and pleasant cottage with breakfast ready for us to complete in the morning without having to worry about getting up early or dressed.

A cosy Dorset hideaway
We had a wonderfully relaxed New Year's Eve in the Summer House at Munden House. The wooden cabin is cosy & comfortable with everything you need. We lost WiFi for a while at what point but what do you expect in the countryside! The little welcoming touches and the lovely breakfast really made this trip special.

This cottage is everything that you want out of an English Countryside Cottage fantasy. Lovely little pond, chickens running around, lots of privacy, delicious breakfast options, lovely hostess. I could have happily spent a week or more relaxing here. Top notch accommodations.

Peaceful beautifully furnished cottage
Munden House did not disappoint us. In a beautiful, peaceful location. The cottage is beautiful, light, spacious and tastefully decorated and furnished. The upstairs bedroom and bathroom were gorgeous, with a comfortable king size bed, with nice bed linen and feather pillows. An ensuite bathroom with light modern fittings complimented everything else perfectly.

Happy guest in Dorsett.
Family trip to Dorsett was really beneficial.our host was great and the kids loved the friendly animals at the property. I couldn’t recommend this host more highly.Only wished I had stayed another day. Book this B and B with confidence if you wish quiet and private experience.

Wonderful place
We stayed in the Dairy Cottage with our 2 dogs, a gorgeous self contained cottage with kitchen/dining area, sitting room, bedroom and small bathroom. Absolutely gorgeous, lovely decor, cosy and quaint. Owners were lovely and contacted me a couple of times to confirm details (dogs) and make sure we could access the property if they were not in. Fridge contained milk and breakfast to make your own. Gorgeous gardens to sit in (with cats and chickens roaming), the bedroom was quite small but the rest of the property had loads of space, nice location with shops just down the road. Nice walks into Sherbourne across a deer park, what a lovely place to stay.No recption on phones but the wifi was good.

Gorgeous country retreat
Our weekend was set for some truffle hunting and we chose Munden House as our base. We were given the Dairy cottage which was warm and cute. Although we didn't make as much use of the place as we'd like to have, it was wonderfully cosy. The bedding was perfect for a luxury sleep. And the couple that run the hotel are charming and delightful to chat to. Highly recommended.

Delightful b & b - we had our own small but perfectly adequate cottage for 1 night while we visited family in Sherborne. Really lovely breakfast with home made granola and eggs fresh from their own hens. Would totally recommend and will visit again.

Three go mad in Dorset...
Very comfortable and welcoming accommodation and gardens. The breakfast was lovely and everyone was very friendly. Our Jack Russell also managed to make friends with the resident Border Collie, Cassie, although he was a little confused by the sight of the free range chickens! It was strange however to drive all the way to Dorset and find ourselves chatting over breakfast to a couple who live less than a 1/4 mile from our home! Overall a perfect two night break in a beautiful part of the world.

Stayed only for a couple of days in the summer house. We did arrive a bit late but were met by Jeremy who was looking after the place for the owners while they were away. He was brilliant and so helpfull. The summer house is great "room". Jeremy had put the heating on low before our arrival so it was nice and snug when we got in. You could see straight away that the owners have thought a lot about the decor. The facilities in the summer house were fabulous. Little kitchenette on the side which was an added bonus and certainly great for people wanting a longer stay and use it as a base for touring the area. Nice comfy bed, Sofa and a table and TV with all the channels you need. Note no WIFI in the summer house (not a problem for me) but available in the main house rooms if you need it. Breakfast in the morning was great (fresh eggs!) and served in a lovely room decorated with antique furniture and views of the beautiful gardens. We met Caroline who was equally as nice and helpful as her Husband. Most of the rooms had access to the Gardens where you could go and sit as they had tables and chairs. Well thought out! We didn't use it but you can get drinks there and sit in a lovely room next to the dining area which has a fantastic fireplace.

There were only few issues. We jad to park in a certain way the owner was very strict and bossy over this, made us feel uncomfortable. Anyone that had a shower, it would make a pinging noise which was irritating. Other than that the breakfast was on point and the room was clean.

Very nice location, fantastic staff.
The b&b is 5mins outside Sherborne, easy drive into the town centre. The Staff are fantastic and are incredibly helpful. The set up is beautiful and if you love animals it's the place for you, there's cats, dogs and chickens happily wandering around the gardens.

Picturesque Dorset
Mundine House is perfect if you wish to enjoy the beautiful, quaint countryside in Dorset. We were visiting friends in Sherborne so it was pertly located. The breakfast was very tasty, very fresh and filling. The hosts were very warm and welcoming.

Whilst away on business I happened to fall lucky in finding Munden house. A long drive meant I was late arriving but the hosts were very welcoming. Munden house was very clean and comfortable, and felt quite homely. The were refreshments in the room, including availability of fresh milk which is a bonus over the little uht pots you often get. Breakfast was excellent and the dining room had lovely views of the fantastic gardens and rolling countryside. There was a good choice of breakfast cereals and fruit etc, followed by a cooked breakfast. All in all a very positive stay with extremely friendly hosts, I would recommend Munden house without hesitation.

Munden House - a special place indeed
Beautiful room in a beautiful house in a beautiful setting. My stay at Munden House was a little bit of luxury on my business trip. I didn't arrive until late evening which was a shame because my room (Chesil) had direct access to the garden - perfectl for settling down with a good book or just listening to the birds. Some places I stay at are just a room for the night whereas for my next stay at Munden House I'll be planning my arrival time to make the most of the tranquility.

Colin and Annie gave us a warm welcome on arrival, we stayed at the Garden cottage which was very nice. The location is ideal for exploring the beautiful Dorset countryside, close to Sherborne and the castle.

Beautiful little cottage!
Owners were very kind and put breakfast ready in our own fridge/ kitchen (we were in Dairy Cottage, the smaller of the 2 self-catering units)as we were leaving early the next day. Breakfast was very impressive! They were also very helpful with advice on the area. Be advised to pre-book Sunday lunch (owners will recommend somewhere) as everywhere was full!
