"The facilty is old & the room smelled of cigarettes, but everything else was wonderful. If looking for authentic Japanese experience (for the working and middle class Japanese) this is a very good experience. Dinner and breakfast buffet was really good. However there's little to do around the lake, unlike Yamashiro ir Yamanaka onsen area.

"This was my first time to stay in a Ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) and I really like it! The hotel was a bit old but still in good condition. They have indoor & outdoor hotspring pool plus many other facilities for you to enjoy during your stay. Buffet breakfast & dinner both were great too. Free shuttle service available too to pick up from/drop off to Kagaonsen station. Thumb up!"

"The people is extremely warm and welcoming, including reception and the lady serving us from check in to dining. The young lady can speak english, we have a great time there. We use the public onsen before dinner so there are not much people. The private onsen in the room also great, but will be a bit small if two people bath together. Will definitely recommend this place to people who want to experience Japanese traditional onsen culture and dining. "

"Lovely getaway for an authentic Japanese Onsen bathing experience. The suite room was gorgeous and came with a private bath which was very worth it for me ! Many delicious local restaurant options nearby too. Staff knew enough English to get us settled. Highly recommend for 1-2 nights as part of your trip. "

"The hotel located a quiet corner of Toyama bay, not much activities nearby, however the hotel front view was superb with Tateyama-Kurobe snow capped range right infront. Condition of hotel is a bit old, but well maintained. Welcome drink & free coffee plus ice cream kept my families happy while waiting for front staff to guide us to the room"

"After a very tiring couple of days, I was so glad I picked this hotel to retire to. Right next to the Shinkansen station but quiet and spotlessly clean with a great sized room this was the perfect business hotel. "

"Great location, lovely and large variety with the breakfast, nice onsen, laundry machines (although only 2 so it was really busy), comfortable room (but they don't have drawers!), clean, friendly and yes-- it had amenities. We went with another couple and we were both most satisfied with the the Mitsui Garden Hotel."
"My wife and I have been planning our honeymoon to Japan for over a year. We carefully selected SOKI due to its proximity to popular attractions in Kanazawa. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that SOKI offers a one of a kind experience. The staff were inviting, warm, and respectful. The rooms + amenities offered a quiet relaxing getaway which serves as the perfect break from days spent exploring the many cultural and historical attractions found in Kanazawa. Upon arrival the staff kindly checked our bags in. After which we explored the world famous Omicho market which is located directly across the street. We missed breakfast our first morning, but made sure to enjoy the traditional premium Japanese breakfast experience the following day. What stood out the most are the beds. Minimalistic but by God they were incredibly comfortable. As far as breakfast goes, incredible, I highly recommend enjoying each dish in the intended order. We didn’t get a chance to try the Onsen, but we’ll be back next year for sure! Thank you so much! "
"The staff were fantastic!! They went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. Traditional Japanese breakfast was very good and the outdoor onsen was a nice experience "
