"La Terra Resort is a unique and beautiful crafted, peaceful boutique hotel that we had a delight to stay at during our outdoors exploration, and trek along parts of the Nakesando Trail. La Terra Resort didn’t disappoint, nestled amongst a beautiful quiet valley setting, tucked under the edge of the forest canopy and surrounded by farmed land, land that served to us our daily meals, with fresh homegrown produce. Tobira Onsen Myojinkan

4.5 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (22)
"A really old-fashioned Japanese onsen experience like nothing else. We ate in the Japanese restaurant one night and French the other evening. The food was fantastic. Rooms were comfortable but old fashioned. I would highly recommend the room with a private onsen - we saw tanuke (Japanese raccoon dogs) approach whilst we were bathing which was a really special experience. We hiked to the ridge (5 hours return) through a beautiful forest."
