The food is excellent as well, although it’s worth noting that both the dinner and breakfast are very generous meals - best not to eat too much beforehand! "Great location close to Omicho market. Room was clean and spacious, beds comfortable, Japanese bed robes, fancy toilet, separate shower, good hot water pressure. Hallways were strangely quite dark. We were offered a welcome drink which was appreciated. There is also a free coffee machine in the lobby. Staff were polite and provided loan umbrellas when it was snowing outside. The buffet breakfast was really nice with tasty food and occasional changes to the offering. The breakfast coffee wasn't to my liking however so I used the free machine instead"

"This was one of the best hotels I stayed in in Japan! The service was outstanding, the room was beautiful and very clean. We had our own private mineral tub and even a massage chair. The Kaiseki dinner was outstanding. I had left behind an important piece of equipment, and the staff found it and emailed me within an hour of leaving the hotel. They mailed it to my next destination for me, I was so relieved! I can’t say enough about how amazing the service is at this hotel. The beds were super soft and comfy with fluffy pillows and even an adjustable bed. We got the best night of sleep we had in Japan!"

"I love the Tanbo no Yu! I can tell that its being fixed up more everytime I come here! This time, really enjoyed the pure stream bath it was very warm and a comfortable place to chat with my husband. The food was delicious and healthy with many flavors and unlimited hokuriku rice! I definitely be back again!"
