We let the hotel know that we would be arriving early at 9:00am and the response was positive. However, when we arrived at 10:00am the receptionist told us it would be an additional $15 to check in early while also saying our room was ready. I will also add here that in our 3 night stay we only saw 1 other guest so it wasn’t a matter of the place being fully booked. It was a ghost hotel. We declined to pay the $15 and they allowed us to go to our room at 12:00. The elevator was “under maintenance” during the day but operational at around 10:00pm at night. I suppose as a way to save electricity. The rooms were clean, but the bath water was clearly brown against the white tub. Also, the room did not have cable television. We were told it was only good for YouTube. I understand tourism is down, but also don’t reopen if you can’t provide the same kind of experience that you used to, otherwise you get honest reviews like this. Overall it was a disappointment.

Property was in a great location! Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the actual rooms are exactly what it says on the tin! Rooms are very spacious and clean - exactly what we wanted. Hotel staff are super lovely, friendly and helpful! The lady that checked us in helped us find a bus to book on the day we wanted to leave to go to Phnom Penh and also arranged a tuk tuk for us using her PassApp so we get a good price. We had also privately arranged a sunrise tour to Angkor Wat and had requested the hotel give us a morning wake up call. Despite it being a wake up call at 3am - they happily obliged. Cannot recommend the hotel enough particularly due to the helpful staff. Thank you so much! We had a lovely stay :)

Lovely hotel in perfect location
This hotel was very lovely. It was small but had just what we needed. Pool was very refreshing especially after Angkor Wat Tour. Staffs were very friendly and helpful, they also helped us ordered tuktuk to go to the Angkor Wat Ticket Office. There was no restaurant in the hotel but many within walking distance.

The staff at Angkor Aurora were simply wonderful! We arrived very early on. Night bus and our room was not available until later in the day. Staff stowed our bags so we could explore and then offered the pool as a respite until the room was available. It was perfect! The beds were very comfortable and so were the nice bathrobes. The only disappointment was that there was no cafe as noted, and no access to ice. We found a cooler at the market and bought ice each day. This worked fine, but an ice machine on site would have made a nice difference. I suspect that as tourism increases again the cafe will open and these small issues solved. We found the location easy to walk for both breakfast coffee and Pub Street at night. Thanks for a great stay in Siem Reap!

Young local staff were wonderful. Extremely polite, helpful and respectful. The property was clean and modern. The rooms could be given a little bit more attention (e.g. shower wasn't hot, tv not working)

We liked this hotel and the pool. The dining room as small but the food for breakfast was good, we also ate dinner there and the food was good (a bit pricey). The location is quiet with a couple restaurants and corner stores near by. The bathroom was clean and had nice shower heads (3 different ones).

Gem boutique hotel
Amazing gem of an hotel - couldn’t have been made more welcome by the staff especially the girls on Reception who couldn’t do enough for us. Clean and tidy room with a lovely small pool area to pop to after exploring Angkor Wat - loved it 😀

A memorable stay!
We had a lovely time at the grand elysee hotel. Extremely welcoming and personal. Airport pick up from Siem reap was easy to arrange over email and they prepared a breakfast pack for us the next day for our sunrise tour. They have a tuktuk driver ready to go whenever we fancied popping into town (5min). Should be about $2 to The famous pub street. Getting back you just show any tuktuk driver the address. The room was spacious, clean and beautifully modern. With the fan and air con it was easy to keep cool. The shower was nice and hot after a minute and had plenty of power. Beds were nice, firm and large. Giant pillows! Tv a little small. Swimming pool was fine for paddling but sunbathing a little limited as few loungers and not much direct sunshine. Had a full body oil massage at the hotel, A little pricier than outside but convenient after a full day of sightseeing. Masseuse was good in my opinion! Food and service at the restaurant is good. Good selection of Cambodian and western meals (fish amok recommended!) prices are on par with pub street restaurants. You can definitely get cheaper but not with this atmosphere or piece of mind. Breakfast was nice but limited. Only a few selections of warm dishes and pastries. The made to order noodle soup was excellent however. Overall I would say Grand Elysee is a wonderful small 5 star hotel with great service and stylish rooms. Would recommend at this price.

Not a nice location & agressivo staff
Avoid this hotel! The location is far from the central attractions, neighborhood is weird and staff is very overwhelming and extremely INVASIVE! Check-in was a nightmare, long and we didn’t get the room we booked and paid for. Stay away of this hotel and enjoy uncountable other excellent hotel options in Siem Riep!

Excellent hotel in Siem Reap with the best staff
What a wonderful place! The location is great, only a short tuk tuk ride to the night market, river, and restaurants. You could walk to these places, but grabbing a ride was so easy. There are lots of places to eat close to the hotel, and the restaurant at the hotel is also a great option. The staff were outstanding. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and took care of everything we needed. They set up our tuk tuk driver to tour Angkor Wat and other temples, so we didn't have to worry. All of the staff work so hard! The hotel was wonderful, and if I ever have the pleasure of returning to Siem Reap I would stay here again.

The staff was very helpful. Food and drinks were good and reasonable. The pool was clean, the shower was always hot with a lot of water pressure. Overall a great experience.

A very nice hotel close to the center of Siem Reap. Excellent buffet breakfast with omelets cooked to order. They even allowed us to take a shower on the evening of the day we had checked out after our tour. Very large rooms. A little pricey but worth the money.

Nice hotel. Very large rooms, shower and separate toilet. Excellent buffet breakfast. Good air conditioning and comfortable bed. Great staff even let us take a shower after we had checked out in the morning before we caught our 11 pm bus. Only issue is the Wi-Fi is weak in the room.

Wonderful staff especially on Reception. Welcome drinks provided. We had a lovely cabana room for a very reasonable price. It is very peaceful and quiet both at breakfast and around the pool. Our room was very spacious. We made good use of the pool, often being the only people in it. The hotel arranged our visit to the temples, again at a very reasonable price. Tuk tuks available outside the hotel which the staff will get for you. Just $2 into the town/ Pub Street. Would recommend this hotel to others.

The staff and service at the hotel were absolutely first rate. The staff were so genuinely friendly and helpful. The hotel has a great team spirit and the amenities are clean and welcoming.. The design of the hotel is very relaxing. There were 4 of us all in our 50's who had a very pleasant 3 night stay. I would highly recommend the Grand Elysee if you are staying in Siem Reap
