Siem Reap and its attractions for beach lovers

While Siem Reap is renowned for its stunning temples, particularly Angkor Wat, and rich cultural heritage, it does not boast traditional beach experiences typical of coastal destinations. However, adventurous travellers seeking a unique blend of relaxation and cultural exploration can find nearby lakes and rivers that offer serene settings. For instance, the picturesque Tonle Sap Lake, just a short drive away, invites families to enjoy boat rides, bird watching, and even floating villages, providing a truly immersive experience in local life. Exploring the lush landscapes around the lake, you might spot the incredible diversity of wildlife and enjoy a picnic by the water's edge. For a taste of relaxation, consider heading to the serene waters of the Siem Reap River, where you can unwind at riverside cafes or enjoy leisurely strolls along the banks. In terms of accommodation, the vibrant French Quarter offers a selection of upscale hotels that provide attentive service and exquisite amenities, ensuring that you and your family feel pampered after a day of adventures. Here, comfortable lodgings blend modern luxury with traditional Khmer hospitality, making it a delightful base for exploring the region's wonders.

Lotus Blanc Resort

10/10 Excellent
"The hotel itself is beautiful it has nice grounds with fountains, ponds and of course a large swimming pool. The staff were very kind and helpful allowing us to store baggage before we went to the airport. It also has great food offerings ranging from lighter bites at the pool to more hefty meals in the bar and restaurant. I would definitely recommend having one of their Singapore slings! And catching the labyrinth show which is close by to the hotel!"
