King Charles Hotel

King Charles Hotel

8/10 Good
"Hotel and room were clean, and staff were good, but there was no air conditioning anywhere, in the rooms or the restaurant. They just relied on floor fans. Really not good with the summer we've had. Plenty of parking spaces, but no EV charge points."

The Inn on the Lake Hotel

The Inn on the Lake Hotel

8/10 Good
"Itโ€™s a bit of a mixed bag, the hotel has such a great setting on the lakeside and was great for a meal and drink in the sunshine. Inside however the rooms are clean but very tired and dated. We booked a Bridal room which had a four poster bed that was very small and made some very loud noises if you moved or turned over while sleeping, not particularly romantic. The decor is dated and the bathroom was well past its best. We had a meal on the terrace which was good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was very busy with orders for hot food taken at the table however on the second day no one came to ask if we wanted anything from the cooked menu so I had toast. Given the price itโ€™s decent value for money and we would book again but with a proper bed."

Bridgewood Manor

Bridgewood Manor

8/10 Good
"Breakfast excellent but the meat at theSunday carvery wasn't covered by staff all the time and consequently blue bottle flies were walking over the roast beef which put you off. When said about it to the staff member she just smiled and gave a little laugh. Not the most suitable answer. Otherwise the stay was very good."
