"We had a lovely stay. Breakfast was very calm. Staff was very friendly and honest about parking being free nearby during weekend and didn’t try to sell a space in their garage. The suite was beautiful and family friendly. A bit worn in places but cleaning was spotless and the first impression was well… impressive! Only minus was the lack of drapes for the lower window in the middle of the suite as the neighbours across the street could easily see us at night and our kids like to run around...

"The hotel had very narrow beds and the room was very hot. The breakfast was “OK”. The restaurant had good food but with a waiter who didn’t know anything about the different dishes, wine alternatives or beers. He had to ask everything to the chef! After the main course, we ordered a dessert with some berries and when we saw it was “hjortron” (cloudberry) I said. “Oh, hjortron” as it was a positive surprise for me. "Great, central location and excellent value for money. Not the most glamorous or modern but if you're looking for a clean, friendly place in central Kalmar, you can't do much better than this. Would absolutely stay here again. "

"The hotel, spa and restaurant were great. The only complaint was the standard of the room, which really could do with a revamp (especially for 300 euro a night). A better bed, unscratched floor and smart TV would be a good start. The room looked like it hadn’t had an upgrade for about fifteen years."
