This is the most centrally located hotel around. Reception girls speak good english and are very pretty. Little tricky to enter. You need to call reception so they could open the door for you. Every attraction is within 1-10 min walking distance. Windows are facing inside yard and no street noise is coming to your room.

No internet during the whole stay, impossible to operate TV and no instructions, no working air con, and no one to ask to as they stop replying to messages at 5om and there is no one on the premises - no service whatsoever, they didn't even replenished the toilette paper. The water system is extremely noisy - also, entering the property is a treasure hunt

If you like unique boutique stays you'll love this place. R34 arranged to meet me at a time that suited me via a call. The hotel location is so central to all the sights and shopping you can't go wrong with R34.

Worst hotel
This is one of the worst hotels I’ve been in Europe. You won’t get any sleep because of loud drum-like noise at night until early morning, you hear people having sex and using toilets, there is no receptionist at the reception, they don’t reply on WhatsApp messages, no hot water, blind handle was broken, room was dirty with some marks and hair from previous guest, the bathroom is unhygienic, the room didn’t get cleaned. The bed was comfy but that’s it. The air conditioner doesn’t work and it’s boiling in the room (30 degrees+). The only way to contact them is by calling a number but you need to try calling several times at different times to speak to someone. A female staff said on the phone thar she doesn’t care if customers are satisfied with the service or not which was horrifying.

A pleasant surprise
Modern hotel with all the necessary amenities, without frills. The rooms are large, the beds and pillows are comfortable, the shower is great and the room has key codes which is nice, no need to worry about room keys. It's right in the middle of the city centre, close to loads of shops and restaurants and within walking distance to the City's attractions. Very easy to get to from the airport on the underground, with a short 5-7 minute walk. Would definitely recommend and if I visit Sofia again I'll definitely return.

Cozy, perfect location with horrible Wifi
The hotel is rather individual apartments on the first floor of an old building in the city center. The location was perfect, a corner from the main shopping street, and just a short walk from all sights of Sofia. The room was beautifully designed. My main concerns: Wifi: the wifi was unusable most of the times and had a very unprofessional setup. You had to connect to several similiarly-named Wifis to find which one worked best at a time. This is a home setup, not a hotel setup. I had to find a coworking space nearby to get access to proper Wifi. Door code: the door codes were so basic that I assume they are never changes, so anyone knowing the code can walk in at all times again. Beds: the bed was a twin bed pushed together, not a double bed. They should be able to lock the two beds together. I was falling into the crack all the time. TV: the TV setup was very makeshift. Also, be aware that there is a bar right outside, so I could hear the music until 2am on the weekend. It didn't bother me as I was up late anyway.

Hello Sebastian, sorry to hear about your concerns - you should have informed us and we would have called the Internet provider. We change the codes frequently. This is the first time that someone complains from the beds. The TV setup is very easy - again you should have asked us for assistance. Regarding the bar, so far we haven't had any complaints from guests.

A lovely quirkily designed room. Charming!
Charmin! A lovely funky design to the room. Clean warm and spacious. In city centre about 50mts from shopping/restaurant street and close to tourist attractions. No restaurant or bar but as stated above only about a 50mt walk away

Helpful, friendly staff! A small hotel of 11 rooms in the BEST location. We had the executive room and were very pleased.

The towels swelled of mildew and the drain in the bathroom clogged so badly it made for an uncomfortable stay. It is a great location but there are plenty of similar hotels in the city center of Sofia that would be a better choice.

Good location redeems
Great location right near Vitosha Boulevard and within a 10 minute walk of everything in the centre. Funky design and concept, with helpful reception staff (though this isn't always manned). You need a code to get into the building but they don't communicate this to you ahead of time so make sure you get this! Room well appointed, however not overly clean (found a few hairs and toenail clippings on the floor). Largely okay but the shower was a nightmare. It was nearly impossible to get cold water, then when you did, nearly impossible to turn it off! The water pressure caused the shower head to fly all over the place, so the bathroom was soaked from a combination of that, and the shower itself flooding (the shower is open with a lip of only an inch or so, so it wasn't difficult to do...) The Wi-Fi was also very hit or miss and only worked for about 25% of my time in the hotel.

A funky, well situated boutique hotel!
We loved our stay at R34 - as a boutique hotel, you only get a room but it is a great room - has all you need, very funky and the hotel is exceptionally well placed in the centre of Sofia. All the great sights are just a short walk away.

Great room, amazing location!
The hotel is best located between 2 main metro stations and the main street (Vitusha Bul.) around all the restaurants and shops. The rooms are cozy and decorated, everything is electronic so there is no need for a room key. The room is darkened by two curtains. Alex the hostess was kind and courteous, taking care of everything I needed immediately. Wi-fi was a bit weak, room cleaning by demand. Overall a very nice boutique hotel, very good value for money - I will happily return again.

i cannot recommend this hotel! the location is perfect, the room was basic but modern. my complaint is with the cleanliness. there were several dead bugs on the floor. we stayed one night, and woke up covered in bed bug bites. while i understand this can happen at any hotel, my greatest disappointment lies in how the situation was handled. we brought this issue to the manager on duty, and she did offer to refund us for the remaining nights (we immediately checked in to a different hotel). we were still charged for the first night. even though it was not an expensive hotel, i feel as though we should have been refunded the entire amount for the inconvenience (the bites took over three weeks to heal, and we ran the risk of taking them home with us). as an aside, i am also disappointed that expedia did not do anything to get us that first night's amount refunded (all they told me was that they are "subject to the rules and restrictions of the vendors who services we sell". i find it disappointing that in a circumstance where my health was jeopardized expedia tells me they have no recourse to work with or override what a vendor contracted with them chooses to do.

Don’t go there over a weekend
We arrived late on Friday night and were only able to enter the hotel via phone call. There was nobody at reception upon our arrival and throughout our stay until we departed on Monday. Whilst the room itself was clean, roomy and pleasant to start with there was no one to clean or change towels for the entirety of our stay. The hotel did provide a kettle with coffee and tea, however that was not replenished throughout our stay. The location is fantastic but I would not recommend for a weekend visit.

Heart of Sofia! Awesome room!
This smack in the center of Sofia. Very convenient location. From the airport we took the metro to the Center City stop and it is a few blocks from there. Next to the row of restaurants and very close to many of the city's attractions. The rooms are very nice. Concrete floor with an industrial feel. The hotel owners are ready to meet you and show you the room. They are very helpful giving you tips on where to go and what to see. Just remember to call or message them (they use email ,viber, whatsapp, etc.) before hand to set up a time to meet since they do not have a manned desk. The rooms are triple secured, code at the door, code at the 2nd floor and code for the building.

Very central location. It's just about ten rooms and modern. But it's not nice too have a shower in cold water 2 of the 3 days we stayed. Read some other had the same experience some months earlier. Not avveptable!
