"I had reserved at handicap accessible roll-in shower queen suite. Got to property and the lady had given my room away. My mother is in a wheelchair and needed that roll-in shower. They gave us a tub for her to try n climb into. Got a sorry but no discount for the inconvenience"

"We stayed at this hotel because of its kitschy throwback appeal. The staff was very upfront about limitations, given the property's historic status and construction. They also had a reasonable pet fee. The linens and towels were clean, and the shower was awesome. We experienced some inconveniences - super small room with not a lot of space to move around, no heat/AC because it was between seasons, old toilet with hard-to-flush handle. Overall, the appeal is the fun name and historic angle. If you like your modern amenities, stay somewhere else."

"The motel was awesome and clean and really close to amazing restaurants and shopping, the only I wish I could change is the mattress...a little too firm for me. All in all i would stay there again and recommend to friends and family"

"I called them and asked about accessibility. They assigned me a spot very close to my room. I didn’t tell them I’m disabled and they honored my request. Be aware it was in the off season. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again in the future "

"When you put yourself out there as a high end hotel, an established mainstay and icon of the local history one expects a bit more when staying here. As a matter of fact my wife stayed here about 18 months prior and had a great experience. However, there was nothing truly remarkable about our stay and as a note, there were things that occurred here that didn't happen at a much lower rated place two years ago on my last visit. 4 day stay - no vacuum, empty coffee cups left on tables, bathroom toilet not cleaned among many of the quirks. No "How was your stay?" upon check out and no assistance with luggage upon check out and valet. It was almost as if it didn't matter and they couldn't be bothered. Not to say that there were not individual successes such as the young man at Bernie's who tended to our breakfast and a nice bartender and waitress at TEN while we enjoyed a late night snack, but, this is expected. I am not saying it was horrible. Nice bed, easy in and out. But no wow factor, no bang for the buck and certainty no long lasting impression that says "WOW - I got to stay here again!". A legacy of luxury since 1902... Your resting on your laurels."
