"Well appointed room with high quality fittings. Lovely additions of sweet treats and bathrobes. Bed was huge and sumptuous, GRADE A Sleep. Air conditioning was very welcome for the baking hot weekend and room overlooking the sea of this delightfully unspoilt position in a very quaint little town. Perfect for a getaway by the sea, easy reach of Brighton and Hove, but also brilliant for people wanting long coastal walks and a great quality room to come back to. Balcony room a bonus, sound of the evening waves tranquil and relaxing - we can’t wait to go back."

"Our stay was fantastic. We didn’t want to leave. Of course the bank holiday weather helped, but we felt we were abroad, eating outside and sitting by the pool. We were also extremely fortunate to have air conditioning in our room. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful hotel. 2 small things that would have made it even better, they ran out of towels in the spa but were offered an extra robe instead. And around the pool it might be useful to have hooks for towels, rather than people placing them on the sun loungers that they then weren’t sitting on. But these are minor niggles to what was a perfect night away."

"Very pleasantly surprised this is an absolute gem of a find. Easy access to Brighton by bus or car. Clean and comfortable rooms and great food. I’m a pescatarian so don’t eat meat so they are missing a trick with the Jamaican fayre as Mac & Cheese would have gone down well however great price and warm welcome and will come back again probably before the summer is finished."

"Huge room and breakfast was amazing, truely four star. Walking distance to the Barbican area. Our only issue was we were on the top floor and there was no lift. 50 steps from the back car park. I am sure they would put a lift in if the building was not heritage listed. If you have mobility problems make sure to ask for a room close to the ground. Overall very impressive and good value for money all fittings and fixtures were high quality."
