"The property is undeniably beautiful, with immaculate gardens and elegant rooms that create a peaceful, luxurious atmosphere. Breakfast was wonderful each morning, fresh, generous, and thoughtfully prepared. However, for the price paid, several service issues were disappointing. Communication from staff was slow, and a significant problem with the shower drainage resulted in water pooling on the bathroom floor. Despite raising the issue and receiving assurances it would be addressed, it was never properly resolved. Additionally, the heated floor was inexplicably left on in the middle of summer, making the room uncomfortably warm. What was most surprising is that no gesture of compensation or acknowledgment was offered, even after these concerns were raised. For a property positioned at this level, one expects more attentive service and proactive management.Beautiful setting and lovely toucheS, but the service fell short of the standard the rate suggests. I even recommended a few guest houses in the Western Cape that consistently deliver full‑rating experiences, places worth visiting to learn from and emulate. Their issues are entirely solvable, but service quality and responsiveness need meaningful upgrading. "
