"I didn't realize this was a student dorm facility that apparently they rent out during the summer months. No air conditioning in the room and it was quite warm in there. Not much in the area in regard to dinning or anything else. Lots of students around being loud at night. Check-in was interesting because it's not like a regular hotel. "Absolutely gorgeous place!! They have stocked the space with everything you could ever need plus luxuries like towel warmers and a really comfortable bed. Can tell a lot of thought has gone into everything. The area is absolutely beautiful, not the main centre but we easily got taxis there and back the entire stay and it feels like a real slice of heaven sat looking out at the beautiful views. We would book here again in a heartbeat!"

"The property was a great size was super clean and it was in an ideal location for town and exploring . It needs a better equipped kitchen as it was missing basics , not enough cutlery , no corkscrew had to buy one and leave it there , no baking trays no large bowls so not enough basic equipment. ( only two pans ) Was in a great location."

"My wife and I spent 3 nights at The Chocolate Box. We had the entire cottage, which included 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen , living room and a washing machine. It was an extremely peaceful and relaxing stay. It was so quiet as well. The location is perfect for day trips to Cork and Cobh, as well as the Ring of Kerry. Lidl was only a 10 minute drive away "

"The best things about this property were the location near restaurants and activities and the helpfulness of the staff. We also had a kitchenette and laundry. It would have been helpful to have directions for the washer/dryer. Our favorite activity in Cork was the bike tour with James. If you rent an apartment be ready for street noise at all hours and music from bar next door till midnight on the weekends. If you are drinking at the bar this will obviously not be an issue!"

"From start to finish the river Lee hotel was exceptional! Staff was top notch and remembered us by name each day. Hotel is sparkling clean and smells beautiful each day! The food breakfast lunch and dinner top notch! Each meal was outstanding. I would give this hotel 10 stars if I could. The rooms were maintained daily and were comfortable for our family of 3. I have no complaints at all and can not wait to come and stay again. Thank You River Lee for an exceptional stay during our time at Cork."
