I had one of the worst experiences at this hotel. After a family member became unwell a week before travelling, I contacted to see if I could change my reservation in view of the circumstances but they refused. After a lot of back and forth I made hotels.com aware that I couldnt make the first nights stay but would arrive the 2nd night, having paid for 3 nights in total. After arriving in split at 9pm and getting to the hotel I was made aware that they had given my room away and there were no rooms available, despite paying for 3 nights stay and making them aware in advance. They were very unhelpful, initially having to argue for a refund of the remaining 2 nights stay. They offered an alternative hotel double the price of the room I had paid for. In summary it was a horrible experience resulting in us having no where to stay.
They were unhelpful, not allowing us to change our stay in the first place with the difficult circumstances we found ourselves in but then reselling the room we had paid for despite advance notice, leaving us stranded. The service was uncaring, umhelpful and based on greed. The hotel itself was in a ran down rough area, a far walk away from the centre.
I strongly advise avoiding the hotel and the company and book an alternative.
