"We were only staying one night and I wasn't going to review as we got in late and left early but I wanted people to know what to expect. The sheets are clean and the beds were comfy but there are dubious stains all over including the walls. The decor is very tired and some of the furnishings look like recycled things from the 60s. As for cleanliness there is mould on the bottom of the provided shower gel containers, the underneath of the sink was filthy."

"The rooms were clean, staff were very helpful. This property is an older building as such the walls are thin. We used Spotify for white noise to help drown out the external sounds. The bar and restaurant are very handy to have on site. The food is delicious! "

At reception area there is also snacks available throughout day/overnight Room was clean with selection of tea, coffee, milk for cuppa and toiletries provided. "The staff member on reception was excellent - Lauren. Breakfast was good, lots of staff ensuring the buffet always stocked and food was fresh. Bar is dated and house white wine dreadful. Room comfortable if slightly dated, bed comfortable."

"Location is good. Staff friendly and hotel clean. However, on the first night we reported that the bathroom door in our room doesn't shut. We were told the maintenance person doesn't work at the weekend so can't be fixed until Monday. The next day we reported that our toilet was leaking. This was not fixed during our stay. On the last day my sister said how uncomfortable the bed was. I said mine was ok so we lufyed her mattress to see many of the slats were missing. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the cheesecake was warm on the outside and very cold inside so had been microwaved. Its a shame to complain because the staff were all good but surely the management should provide weekend maintenence cover."

"Disappointed that the advertised car park is actually not available to any guests. The breakfast service was slow, had to wait 15 minutes for a table and other guests were asked if they would allow others to sit with them - too long queuing for quite afew guests. Need more tables and a better system "

"The hotel was lovely and clean, the bed was huge and the bathroom was clean and fresh. I'm a vegetarian and the continental selection was fine but the hot breakfast didn't give me much choice - scrambled or fried eggs, beans and fried tomatoes. The staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back."
