The Coal Exchange Hotel

The Coal Exchange Hotel

8/10 Good
"I had booked two rooms for two nights in this beautiful historic building which is less than a 10 minute walk to the bay. The reception staff and the two ladies overseeing in the dining room when we had breakfast were all lovely and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble with queries and requests. Unfortunately mine and my partner's room could have been cleaner in places i.e. in the bathroom for example the base of the sink tap was filthy which I cleaned along with some other areas. Unfortunately the wet room is stained in places. There was also a patch of stained carpet by the window. One of the cups and one of the glasses had not been washed or not checked thoroughly and also the kettle was dusty. I did not raise this at the hotel as we were overall pleased with our stay but my sister did raise the issue with the window in her bathroom which was resolved very quickly. Hopefully this is not reflective of the hotel as I would not hesitate booking there again but just a thorough check and proper deep clean of our room prior to our arrival would have enabled me to give top marks."

What’s a holiday rental in St Nicholas like?

Holiday rentals are private properties where you can stay for a few weeks, or just a few days, in St Nicholas. Holiday rentals provide amenities such as WiFi and washers and dryers so you'll have a home away from home. If you're concerned about a clean environment, a holiday rental can provide a sense of security away from public hotel lifts and busy front desks while still allowing you the excitement and enjoyment of travel. You'll also have more space in a holiday rental than in a standard hotel, which is another reason why a holiday rental is a popular choice for small groups.
