"The concierge was outstanding and the room was as well appointed with high end L’Occitaine shower products. Dinner was wonderful at Max’s. Breakfast was just okay with very basic fruit, plain crepes, and a lack of variety in the offerings. The thermostat in the rooms were set to 75 degrees, far too warm for a restful sleep. The spa was acceptable however there was no hot spring or complimentary access to the Blue Lagoon next door. It was exciting to be staying on the sight of a volcanic powered geothermal plant. The Grindavik magma field is directly out of our hotel window. If the breakfast is improved and room service added along with a plunge pool or hot spring soaking this will be a 5 star stay. We appreciated the exceylocation to Reykjavík and nearby natural wonders which were breathtakingly beautiful."

"It's a small hotel that is very clean and nice and located in Keflavik, a small town near the airport. Much less hectic than Reykjavik. I stayed in a double with an ensuite bathroom/shower. Extremely clean and well-maintained. The best part was the proprietoress. She was really great. She gave me some recommendations for food and shopping. She also went to extra lengths on my behalf when I fumbled my ride to the airport. I didn't realize they provided transport to the airport (my own lack of reading the hotel description). When the ride I had organized didn't show up, she came to the rescue at 6:00 in the morning and arranged for me to get to the airport. Really appreciated her."

"We had a short stay. There is no check-in staff, so make sure to check your email for check-in information. The staff at the restaurant was able to help us. Ultimately we enjoyed our stay it is in a convenient location, great places to eat within walking distance, super close to the airport. If you are looking for 5 star this isn't the place, it is an older hotel that definitely shows it's age, but it was clean and we felt safe."

"The hotel is located about 15 minutes from Catholic Airport, on a quiet Cape, although it can be subject to windy weather. The decor is rustic, wood panel, with modern amenities and comfortable beds. The restaurant is excellent, and breakfast is included, with the option of a takeout bag if you need to leave before breakfast hours in order to catch a flight. Reception staff were very accommodating and helpful, and the room contains a book of suggested activities nearby. It’s a great option if you don’t want to stay in an airport hotel, although there is no shuttle to the airport. We would gladly stay again."
