"We had a great stay. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the hotel was great too. The atmosphere of the hotel is historic and cozy, and parking is easy. It's within walking distance to the main Salem sights. I would return."

"We booked 2 king bed rooms with pullout couches from Hotels.com. When we arrived they put us in small rooms with 1 queen bed. I immediately went to the desk and was informed that they didn't have those rooms. It felt like an episode from Seinfeld but it was not funny. They finally gave us 2 rooms with a king bed and told us it was the fault of the third party vendor. The pool pump broke the day we arrived which was the reason we went their for kids on vacation. It was fixed the next day but it was all very disappointing. We made the best of it but it was not what we hoped for. We ate at the restaurant one night and the bartender was the only 1 on as someone didn't show. He did everything and was super nice and apologetic but that is a management issue. If someone no shows, you come in or find other help. The staff were friendly and nice but I couldn't recommend this property to anyone."

"Staff was very friendly and helpful! Hotel is clean, and had a chemical smell in the hallways and elevators. The shower ceiling looked old and the caulk was old and dirty. The rest of the bathroom was clean, with exception of some dirt/mold under the rim of the bathroom sink, that looked difficult to reach. The bed was very comfortable! "
